He really, REALLY has no concept of foreign relations or how he is not the end all be all, Make a new deal? WTF? Once you are out, you're out. He, and anyone that is advising him doesn't understand the original deal let along negotiate a new one. I'm bloody speechless

his dumb move has us sitting on the bench with Nicaragua and Syria. great bedfellows indeed. if he wants to solidify his position as the WORST president ever, we can pretty much stop here if we didn't already stop at January 22, 2017. Actually, just Syria. Nicaragua has amazing climate change efforts in place. I agree Nicaragua didn't sign because the agreement didn't go far enough.

“The United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord but begin negotiations to re-enter either the Paris accord or an entirely new transaction in terms that are fair to the United States and its workers. Why is everything with him "what is fair" to the United States. Newsflash - the rest of the planet is not out to F**K the US. The rest of us have people who want good jobs, decent healthcare, safe places to live. Just like America does. And yet somehow the rest of the countries don't need to screw someone else to get those things. I am so sick of his garbage America first rhetoric because what it really means is screw the rest of the world, we are in it for ourselves.

How is who clinton blames relevant to this thread? I am confused It is evident by my use of quotes how my post is relevant. To clear any confusion though...I was responding to papercrafteradvocate and it is very relevant to her post as she puts the blame for Trump on those who voted for him (true) but they aren't the only ones to blame. I was illustrating that even Clinton herself has a looong list where she places blame, not to mention that she doesn't seem to accept any actual blame for the failure of her candidacy, but that's neither here nor there.

Me too. I think it's snarky and completely unrelated to the clusterfuck that is this administration. And yes, I do and will continue to blame the persons who voted for him, for whatever reason.

Trump, in his never-ending quest to erase the Obama presidency, just sold us down the river. I have more important things on my mind than what you think is wrong with Hillary. But carry on. I suppose you may feel the need.

From his speech “At what point do they stop laughing at us as a country?” he said. “I was elected to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris.”
That's easy. If you want the world to stop laughing at us Mr. Trump, resign.

You want proof of climate change? I live in the lower part of eastern washington. It is most desert. The only reason we have vegetation , because we have extensive irrigation systems. ( btw almost everybody must hook up to this system ). We are now having a rain storm that is dropping more water in 20 minutes than we should see for the whole summer. The repercussions of all the rain is not good. Fruit crops are ruin Fire danger increases Increase in pests Landslides. Yup no climate change here. Thanks for that dose of reality, @megmc. and GRRRRR!!!!! I care about these things happening all over the world, and they are happening. Have a soft spot for your area.... dd went to school at Whitman.

it sounds to me from his (stupid) speech like he wants to 'make a better deal' so that he can be seen as some sort of great deal-maker? But this ISN'T a deal-making situation- this accord took OVER 10 YEARS to get ALMOST ALL of the countries in the world to agree. And Trump thinks HE can get them to make a BETTER deal, JUST for US?!? His stupidity knows no bounds.
Besides, some of the European countries have already said there will BE no better deal for us, anyway.

It actually is here or there because what you said is not true. You apparently haven't seen this article. I quote, " “I take absolute personal responsibility,” Clinton replied. “I was the candidate, I was the person who was on the ballot. I am very aware of the challenges, the problems, the shortfalls that we had.” I find it puzzling when people on the right keep bringing up Hilary Clinton as some type of defense or deflection in reaction to criticism of Trump. At this point it's like a non sequitur. She was defeated. Her career as a politician is over. Hopefully, this administration continues its breakneck runaway train-like trajectory off the cliff into the ignominy and shame of criminal misconduct and treason. No way to know at this point but I remain ever hopeful. But what I do know is it's time to take fricking Hilary Clinton out of the mix.

Every single person who voted for trump is responsible for the disaster this country finds itself in. Just because they are now shitting backwards and saying "I made a mistake" and but, but Hillary, it means absolutely nothing. They are pathetic and until the next several elections when they actually vote against these republicans and get them out of office (as if that will ever happen) they are responsible. They are also less than intelligent.

Eighty per cent of the citizens of Pittsburgh voted for Hillary Clinton moron. Pittsburgh is also know for completely turning itself around concerning air quality. The city used to literally be covered in ash, dust, etc. from the mills and factories. Now, people can walk around outside and breath. So, he chose to use a city that proves he's wrong. Yet, I'm sure he's patting himself on the back because he used that great alliteration!

The morons who voted from Trump are solely to blame. I don't give a ratsass about their regrets now. Their stupidity for not being able to see what would happen if Trump was elected is no excuse. I hope every single Trump voter gets exactly what they voted for. When they are jobless, penny less, have lost their civil rights and wake up and realize they fucked over their grand kids and great grand kids, they'll get zero sympathy from me!

If you want the world to stop laughing at us Mr. Trump, resign. At what point do they stop laughing at us as a country? I actually do not think the rest of the world laughed at America until Nov 8,2016. And then we were either laughing or crying at the appalling results of the election. The laughable part is it is called the Paris Agreement. And it represents nearly every country on the planet. Not the city of Paris. His comment just makes him sound stupid. Again

I watched the speech & I was fascinated. A friend suggested Bannon or Miller wrote it, and I can't believe that. It was too well written for that. I mean, they may have contributed broad themes, but they aren't good enough writers to come up with that speech. From a cynical perspective, this day was actually a big win for Trump. That speech was pitch perfect as fodder for his base. If I were a diehard Trumpite, I would have been lapping up that speech. That 'Pittsburgh not Paris' line was by his standards pretty darned good. He stayed on message, he was calm & coherent, Pence & Pruitt pumped his tires.
Given that there's a timeline & process that has to occur before the US can leave, and they're going to follow it, I gotta say that on some level it was a pretty astute move on behalf of his the folks on his team who pushed him to make this decision. He's temporarily taken the attention off Russia; he's made himself appealing, again to the hard core Trumpites - and his numbers had in fact been lagging even there. He's reasserted himself as their saviour, which could extend is political life support longer.
I totally hate the idea of the US leaving the Accord. I have enough immunity to Trump that I didn't fall for the hyperbole in his speech. I can also say as someone in politics that it was as good a political speech as he's ever made in terms of appealing to his core audience. It's speechs like this one where I can see how/why he's gotten as far as he has.
And I say that as someone who cannot stand him.
