Dude...I can't get 586 to load (but 585 loads just fine) on the main SC thread and then the complaint thread won't open for me at all. Something fishy is going on at proboards. It makes me feel like I'm being left out of some juicy gossip, lol!!

anniefb broke the thread! There are problems with several threads right now. Hopefully it'll get solved soon! For the SC refugees who can't access the usual thread right now: FREEHM is live for a free Happy Mail at ABM. New account, no shipping cost for US folks but $2 handling fee for internationals. Resign before the 5th of June (I'd recommend tomorrow or Saturday tops since they won't be checking emails on Sunday). This month's cards include a birthday card, a thank you card, a "thinking of you" card, a best wishes card and a congratulations card which are always easy to use. Gold foil finish on some too! FREEMB not live, alas.

What does it say about me that I like Dollar Tree (50 cents for their flat cards and 1.00 for their themed cards that usually go up right before a holiday or event...like mother's day and graduation, for example) cards more?

Dollar Tree doesn't exist here and the cheap greeting cards I can find in some shops are not modern at all (and printed on floppy thin cardstock) so this is a good deal for me. But I understand this won't be useful to everyone, especially if you've got access to cheap nice stuff on a daily basis.

I know you don't have one...I'm just saying that I think a basic store has better design style than they do, lol. Not to say that all of the cards suck, I'm just more of a traditionalist when it comes to cards, I guess. I have SO MUCH STUFF that I can't justify $6+ for a store bought card so that is another reason I have so much love for Dollar Tree.

I don't have a lot of stuff and even I can't justify €5/$6 for a card. I'm sorry, that's like three beautiful fat peonies at the flower market! Or 6 hot croissants at the bakery. Or 6L of organic milk. Or 4 camembert cheeses. Or almost 20 Nespresso capsules. French people think in terms of food. Nope, not happening.

My husband must spend $40 on cards and bags for gifts that cost right around the same amount. He gets chastised each and every time...I tell him I'm fine with a Dollar Tree card and Dollar Tree bags and paper...it drives me nuts what he pays for the bags especially just because he says it's 'convenient'. I cut up one of the ones from Mother's Day to use in my PL so I felt like I could almost justify the cost...almost...
