The one thing that I don't like is the "new" indicator in front of all the posts that have new replies in them. I see them all and think "oh, I must read all those threads so I can get rid of the "new" button". lolol... I feel like I'm slacking if there are too many threads with "new". And these first days of the board there have been a LOT of new posts! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) I'll get over it after awhile. rofl

That's just your OCD kicking in...it will be alright in a few days, you'll get used to it.
I don't like that we have to scroll back up to the top to get back to the main list of threads. Not that big of a deal, just a wee bit tiresome.
I also don't like the quote feature when you're quoting someone who has already quoted someone else....it gets confusing that both quotes show up.

I added a Favorite bookmark in my toolbar so when I'm down at the bottom of a thread I can just hit my NSBR bookmark up in my toolbar and it takes me back to the forum. HTH!

If the "new" buttons get overwhelming, make sure you are on the main page of that forum (e.g. NSBR Resurrected.) Go to the "actions" button and click on it-there will be a drop down button to "mark board as read." If you click on that, it will clear all the "new" buttons. I had to do that once or twice when I got all OCD myself. ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

If you tap on the gear button on the right side of the last comment there's an option that says back to top. Also, if you are using an iPad or iPhone tap right above the menu bar & it goes up to top. This should eliminate having to scroll manually back to the top.

First, how are you only quoting part if a thread? I can't seem to figure out how to do that!! But also on the mobile version of the site, there is a back button and a top button at the bottom of each page. The top button (obviously) takes you back to the top of the page.

But also on the mobile version of the site, there is a back button and a top button at the bottom of each page. The top button (obviously) takes you back to the top of the page. You can do it a couple of different ways. 1. Hit the "quote" button and then type your response beneath that little box with the text you quoted. After that, go back up into the quoted text and remove the parts you don't want. or 2. Copy the text you want to quote. Then click "Reply" (instead of using the "quick reply") and there is a icon for quoting. It looks like a little quote bubble and says Quote. Once you click that you can enter the text you want to quote.

I also think the HTML code is the same for quoting part of a comment. So you'd just type in [ quote] Comment [ /quote] like at the old board, if you wanted to use the Quick Reply box...
I was a bit annoyed by the scrolling back up, but I just click "Command" and the "Up Arrow" and I got back to the top. I miss the "Return to Previous Page/Forum/Whatever it was called" though, because if I was on page 2, I have to start all over again LOL....

I live the 'new' button because if I press it it takes me right to the newest pits I haven't read! No scrolling.

Another question . . . what's the difference between 'reply' & 'quick reply'?

Quick reply doesn't require you to go to a different page. It also has no bells or whistles. If you want the bells and whistles you have to load the full reply page.

I don't like that we have to scroll back up to the top to get back to the main list of threads. Not that big of a deal, just a wee bit tiresome. On another thread, there is a tip that using safari, you can swipe left or right to get back. Someone else suggested that if you're on an ipad, just press down on the clock at the top centre of your screen and you go right back to the top of the page. This is what I'm doing and it is much quicker. I tried swiping right and left. It worked, but loaded slowly for me so not as great for me. Others seemed to really like it. Paige.
