Last night I saw these- about 10 of them around my bathroom sink- they look like black specks and barely move But when they do move they kind of extend their bodies- appear curled up at first. Saw a few more his morning. Don't appear to be coming from drain and I didn't see anything under vanity. I googled and psocid mites came up, but they're brown not black. Anyone have any experience? I cleaned, sprayed, and I'm going to put Clorox down drain. I really do not ant to have to call the exterminator...

DO you have a window open? I get little black bugs that come through the screen if I have my windows open.

Can you post a photo? That would help in identifying them.

I just googled psocid mites and what I am reading says that they can be grey to brown. ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/bookliceSaveSaveSaveSave

Can you post a photo? That would help in identifying them. I would, but honestly they look like black specks- you wouldn't be able to see anything. Could barely tell they are living creatures. I'm talking tiny-like a speck of black pepper.

Do you have a vent in your bathroom? Could be coming in from there.

I was going to guess drain flies too. My friend had them really bad.

I also have these black specks in my bathroom and kitchen near sinks. They arrived 4 months ago. These bite! I don't know what they are. They barely move. They smear sometimes when squished. They hide very well but are attracted to my night lights. What is this? The Twilight Zone Episode. I'm baffled! Tried everything! DO you have a window open? I get little black bugs that come through the screen if I have my windows open.
