Anyone have knowledge of fast growing benign tumour in the heart? My niece was flown by helicopter to Edinburgh on Friday, they operated yesterday and she seems to be doing well so far.

I'm not sure I've ever heard of that, but I wish her well in her recovery.
As you find out more about it, would you be willing to share more? I'm always curious to learn.

Thanks for all your good wishes. I'll let you know as I find out. Her 15 yr old son is in remission from testicular cancer, he was diagnosed just before he turned 11.

No specific knowledge of that, as a condition like that would have been transferred to a bigger teaching hospital from where I worked. I did have a patient who was found to have a heart tumor but we sent him to the university and I don't know how he did or what the follow up entailed.
I am very glad to know they found it and moved quickly on it for your niece. I hope she has a quick recovery!
