If so, what was your experience with it? Side effects? Did you have stomach/intestinal problems? How long did you take it? Did it work better than OTC Ibuprofen for you?

I can't take ibuprofen as it makes me vomit. I have taken meloxicam with no issues. But it was short term use.

I have been taking it for several years to control inflammation in my back. It works much better than any other NSAID I have taken and I've had no side effects.
The only precaution is that if you have other pain, such as a headache or cramps, you have to take acetaminophen rather than ibuprofen or Aleve. Don't combine NSAIDs.

I took it 2 months ago for about 3 weeks for pain and inflammation due to a bone spur on my heel. I found that it did nothing for me, so it was stopped. I didn't have any side effects. Good luck!

I took it once and had a reaction where my face felt like it was on fire. I got really flushed. I stopped taking it and switched to ibuprofen and it took care of my problem.

I have taken it for several years for inflammation due to back pain. I have never had any stomach problems and no other side effects. I never noticed any great results from it until I stopped for a couple of months. Tried to replace it with 2 Aleve a day but quickly realized how much the Mobic helped, so I started back. I just hate having to go to dr every 3 months to get a script for it.

It didn't do anything for me. I also was advised to stop taking it since it's hard on your kidneys.

I have arthritis in my knee so the doctor gave it to me for that. It doesn't help. I stopped taking it.

I've taken it for about 10 years. No problems. I love that it's once a day.

I currently take it. I am supposed to take it with dinner but changed to taking it around 4 because too close to bedtime I would get heartburn.
I take it for my RA. It's been almost 8 months that I have been on it. I went off it for a week because I had a biopsy. Man did I miss it!
I find it really helps with my inflammation.

I did something to my knee. In an xray it looks like a perfectly normal knee but it hurts to pick my leg up off the floor. It doesnt hurt standing but getting into the car I have to go butt first and the use both hands to pick up my leg. Also sitting is fine but when getting up I am hobbled for a few steps. Very painful. Dr gave me meloxicam and after a week I suddenly noticed I didnt have to limp when rising from a seated position and could get in the car like a normal person.

Ditto. Never did a thing for me. So my doctor switched me to Diclofenac. I have been on that for about 2 years now with no stomach issues and it's helping my pain greatly.

I was on it to help with my RA pain before I was officially diagnosed 2 years ago. I never had any side effects with it and I took in conjunction with Tramadol, so I don't exactly know if it was that working or the tramadol or a combination of both.

I have taken if for tennis elbow, had it left over and am now taking it for knee pain. I have not had any adverse effects from it. It does help and I can exercise and not ache all day long.

My rheumatologist switched me over to it but I haven't started taking it yet. I was trying to use up the remaining Motrin prescription I still have.

I have been on it for 5 years with no side effects. Drink plenty of fluids each day and with it when you swallow it.

I took it for a while for my wrist. It just kind of took the edge off the constant throbbing. I didn't really notice it was helping until I stopped.

I took meloxicam for severe hip pain due to arthritis. I don't recall any negative side effects. Unfortunately, it didn't really help me at all with the pain, so I stopped taking it. Total hip replacement did the trick for me!

I have RA and took about every NSAID out there at one time or another, until my body said No more (my liver rebelled). Meloxicam was one that did nothing for me, I might as well have been taking M&Ms - they would have been better, at least I would have had chocolate. My DH took it for his osteoarthritis and it helped him some, not enough to stay on it tho, he switched to Diclofenac and has been happy with that. No bad side effects from it for either of us, just not enough good effects.
