One of my BFF's daughter's want to do a Cutco demo for me. She gets paid whether or not I buy anything.
Are they worth the money and if so which one(s) do you recommend.

Yes! My mom bought me one when they were demo'ing at Costco and I LOVE it. Sorry, can't remember what it's called. It's like a tomato knife (small, with serrated blade) but more heavy-duty and I think it was the least expensive knife they sold. He recommended starting with that one if we just wanted to try them out. I use it daily and I want more different ones when they come back to Costco.

My friend's son is coming over tomorrow for a demo. I need some new knives, so the timing is good for me.

I LOVE the 9 1/5" Chef Knife. Great for chopping and slicing too. I actually have the Homemaker Block +8 Table Knives. Also couldn't manage without the Super Shears which I use for everything; cutting chicken, pizza, packaging, anything & everything.

I have the 9 3/4" slicer and use it for breads, meats (raw and cooked) vegetables...the works.
I call it my $100 knife. I've had it for probably 6 yrs and use it ALL. THE. TIME.

I have an entire set I bought in 1970 when I got my first real job ~ making $350 a month. The set cost me $115 and I paid $5 dollars a month until I paid them off. Best.purchase.ever. My mom had always had Cutco so I knew it was a good investment ~ 47 years later they are still awesome. I also have the steak knives and serving pieces, turning forks, whisk, etc.

I bought my daughter a set when she got her first apartment at college. Every time I'm at her house, I'm amazed at how sharp they still are. I wish I would have bought myself a set!

Cheese knife, scissors, small bird beak knife, etc...If anything happens to your knives, they will replace.

one of dd's friends did it one summer and I let her demo for me, I needed a bread knife and it works really well. I like it when I slice homemade breads or specialty loaves I get at the store.

Thanks. I let her run the whole demo, she was so sweet, and I ended up buying the smaller chef knife for dd and a cheese knife, thanks guys, for us. She threw in a spreader for free which i was thrilled about!

I've had my Cutco set for 18 years and love them. It was investment when I bought them that I've never been disappointed with.

I use the serrated spreader and 5" serrated tomato knife every. single. day. I have the cheese knife and it cuts like butter but that one is seldom used. Still awesome, though.
I've got almost every piece of Cutco they make (used to date one of their execs 30 years ago). While the relationship didn't endure, the Cutco knives did. He was way less reliable than the company he repped.

Love my bread knife. The kids use the spreader every day. Scissors are the best pair that you'll ever have. Paring knife is also used every day.

I can tell you that should your spouse leave the handle of the pairing knife (that you love and adore) too close to the gas stove flame and MELTS the handle that Cutco won't even blink and will replace it for free (you pay to ship them the damaged item). Still have and love the second one we got.

I got mine from a friends son who was 18 at the time ( he is now 40) My knives are in great shape, never been sharpened and I use them all the time My favorite knife is the www.cutco.com/products/product.jsp?item=petite-chef&cab=1725#sm.000171v9yn17olei2uv8b7s5y403j which I use every day The spreader and the cheese knife are also something I use on a nearly daily basis I've never been sorry that I made the purchase so many years ago. Quality is good I need to send the scissors in to be sharpened but I just haven't done it Diane
