See, when I saw Freshly Squeezed Tees I thought it was asking for unwanted groping. I saw it as a clever play on her name.

For causal tees I mostly go for Icebreaker merino tees - natural fibre, cool or warm depending on the season and wonderful for travel (because you can wear them several times before they need a wash). I hadn't heard of those, so I did a search. How much do you pay? When I think casual t-shirt, anything above $20.00 is formal. I am intrigued because I hate shopping with a fiery passion and if they'll last 10 years, I might reconsider. Not sure about the prices in the USA @refugeepee. Here in NZ they are on the expensive side (we pay a lot more than you do for everything!) but they are fabulous quality and feel amazing. A lot of the styles are for outdoor/active wear - skiing, hiking etc but I go for lighter weight items and the travel lines. SaveSave

Who was the Pea that designed a Cafe Press tee following an altercation with another customer at Archivers? The other customer stole items out of the Pea's shopping cart, or something like that? I seem to remember the shirt saying something like "Don't f*ck with my scrapbook supplies. NEVER f*ck with my scrapbook supplies!" Does anyone remember the Pea? Did anyone buy a shirt? Was that Dalayney? Yes! I think you're right. I think it was Dalayney! I didn't buy a shirt, but it wouldn't surprise me if some of the Peas did

Probably the wrong thread, but no offence intended- hope you are feeling much better refugeepea ? Did I miss an update? Surgery is on Tuesday. I'm supposed to feel a lot less pain right after because I have a herniated disc that is sitting on my nerves. It's one of the least invasive back surgeries. I'll take a sore back (from the incision) over nerve pain. Thanks for asking.

anniefb and refugeepea, I hope your surgeries and recovery go well and you have some relief from your pain. Do you have anything planned for your recovery time? Movie marathons, books, Netflix, crafts, easy projects?

anniefb and refugeepea , I hope your surgeries and recovery go well and you have some relief from your pain. Do you have anything planned for your recovery time? Movie marathons, books, Netflix, crafts, easy projects? Thanks Elsabelle. I've stocked up the Kindle, downloaded some audio books, increased my data plan to unlimited and added a heap of stuff to my Netflix list. I'd like to be able to do a bit of crafting but it just depends how much I can get done with my knee up. Have printed some photos, so maybe I can get a bit of scrapping done sitting up in bed

I'll wait and buy one (too risky to take a chance with phrases) when SC clearances them out. $33 for a t-shirt is too much- but I'm no fangerine.

Is that her handwriting or just a font she picked out? If it's just a font I don't see anything special about them.

I don't like the fat stroke combined w/the thin stroke. Right? It's like the rest of the letter is trying to grow sideways out of the fat stroke and escape elsewhere. "No, I don't want to be part of this!" Definitely hers (although writing out unoriginal quotes really isn't much of an accomplishment ): ETA: sending you good vibes only (in true SC refugee style), anniefb and refugeepea . Let us know how it goes!

The shirts are not bad looking, but a subscription?! uh, NO. I don't need a new tshirt or two *every month* ! The Earth is already drowning in discarded t-shirts made from thirsty input-heavy cotton, dyed with poisonous chemicals. The average tee is discarded (donated or thrown in the trash) after an average of 25 wearings. The environmental damage that our hunger for newer, better, cuter clothes has caused is hidden from most of us, but it's devastating. And the economic damage to the countries where we ship our bales of extra clothes. ugh. Not to mention the 591 pages of discussion here of why I won't go near anything to do with Inked brands/SC. This....100%. I will look for an article I was reading just a week or two ago that addresses this issue; if I can find it, I will come back and post. The take away was that 'fashion' was one of the top polluting industries on the planet and how our 'throw away culture' contributes to it. I will continue to choose a few pieces that I will wear to death and then recycle. I have even stopped buying dive t-shirts....YUGE (as DT would say) for me, as I used to buy one on every trip. ETA: not the one I was reading, but good nonetheless. environmental impact of 'fast fashion'

ETA: not the one I was reading, but good nonetheless. environmental impact of 'fast fashion' exactly that. Ugh. Thanks for the reminder - I was feeling like I "needed" a Wonder Woman t-shirt the other day. But I don't. Not even a little bit. The amount of water and pesticides it takes to make a t-shirt are stunning. So many gallons of water consumed by the growing, and then more water polluted by the dyes. And that has a huge impact on the environment/economies/lives of the people who grow cotton. wwf.panda.org/about_our_earth/about_freshwater/freshwater_problems/thirsty_crops/cotton/

I buy t-shirts usually as souvenirs. I can say that I wear them to death. I'm still wearing t-shirts from over 10 years ago.
