Morgan will love ti and that's all that matters. (For what it's worth, I think it looks fine, too.) I once made a Pokeball cake out of just 2 thin layers and some red & white icing slapped on it. My kid loved it, which means it was a win no matter how bad I thought it looked! It was a totally flat cake---it was like someone stepped on a Pokeball and squashed it!  |

That cake looks incredible!!!  Have you worked much with fondant before? I agree with your husband, get some more and practice. Maybe not right away. Perhaps a glass of wine for now. |

What I think is that the fondant is not actually eaten, especially when you see the beautiful wedding cakes. The fondant is peeled off and the cake below is eaten. The fondant is a decoration to give the appeal of a beautiful smooth cake, but actually it may not taste that great... Fondant is an allusion.. Your cake was delightful, especially in the eyes of your little one. Anything you make for your child, they will remember fondly. I applaud you in trying something new. Fondant is an evil allusion... stick with a messy, tasty easy buttercream which tastes yummy but not so smooth.

Thanks everyone. Sorry i have not replied, was resting and dealing with the weather change here. This was the second time in 4 years of trying to do this type of cake normally i just do cupcakes fast and easy for me to do normally. I should have started days earlier below is the first one I did  |
