My only problem is that some of the accents are so thick, I have to turn the volume up to understand what they are saying. Since I watch it a couple times I usually catch on, but I know some people are turning on their closed captioning so they don't miss anything. On Strzplay they have a 3 minute video about each of the episode that talks about it a little more with some commentary from the director.

I tried watching the first episode but couldn't get into it... I guess I'll have to try it again (preferably when the kids aren't around so I can concentrate more!)

I'm loving it!! Loving it more that I've now got my DH loving it also. Saturday night, popcorn is ready, curl up with DH and hit play! What a wonderful evening. Now if I could just get the kids to play outside for an hour I'd have it made.

Well, now I'm irritated. I went ahead and tried the Stream TV on the Mac. I went ahead with installing it on my computer, thinking that maybe I was only asked for a CC because I was working off my iPad. Nope. Still asking for an accout and a CC. And now I have KeyPlayr and MPlayerX installed on my Mac for nothing. I give up and I'm just going to sign up for Starz. I really didn't want it on the TV because I have teens in the house. But now we will just have a new rule: no Starz without asking if the show is ok to watch.
And yes, that's my first world problem for today.
ETA: And now I keep getting pop ups every time I open a new web page. This is exactly what I was afraid of! Off to make an appt with my tech support to get rid of this. ARRRRGH!!!!

That's what I watch Stream-TV on, my Mac laptop. Nothing installed for me to use the site. I don't know why it didn't for me and did for you, but that sucks!

Someone mentioned Outlander on Itunes...please direct me where if so because I'm not ordering Starz even though I'm dying to watch the lastest episode.

I have all big 3 premium channels, and Starz doesn't have much content that would be questionable. I definitely wouldn't allow Skinemax in my house with teens, and actually I dropped that channel package because I didn't watch that stuff. HBO can be questionable, but Starz is really more family oriented.

Sorry to get your hopes up, Jeanettycakes. I looked again at iTunes, and the podcasts are just a behind the scenes deal.

HBO can be questionable, but Starz is really more family oriented. I guess everyone has different comfort zones for their teens, we are pretty open and all but I can surely see where starz programming is not family oriented to some. Pretty much every single starz original programming show they do has semi graphic to graphic sex scenes and the violence factor is up there as well. I certainly wouldn't advocate my children to watch Spartacus. Heck that was so violent that I couldn't watch it. And they come pretty close on Davinci's Demons, I'm pretty sure I could have gotten the wider picture with close ups of torture scenes etc. I realize it's realistic for the time period but some of us have weak stomachs. What I do like about starz is the fact that they rate thier programs honestly and pretty thoroughly so I know up front if I have to cover my eyes. Lol. And so I can lock it on the PVR. If I remember correctly they even had a verbal warning statement for the violence on Spartacus ( well for the one I watched ) if I couldn't lock certain things on my PVR I wouldn't want starz with young teens either.

Most of it is fine, but there are a few scenes that they just aren't ready for. Once it's seen, it can never be unseen. I ordered it yesterday and it doesn't show up in my channel line up. I have to manually key in the channel. I don't know if that will last, but I like that. I didn't tell the kids I ordered it, so they don't know it's there for now. Really, I'm thinking more for sleepovers than my own kids. And I think natural curiosity would tempt my own to wonder what they are missing. This way, it's not even an option.

I don't think there is ever video associated with a podcast? LOL, now you know why I participated in the "I need to learn more about iTunes" thread. As for those free streaming sites, in my experience, they have hidden links all over the place that take you to a different video subscription site. You have to figure out which is the "real" play button and watch that the address doesn't change in your browser bar. Somehow DD manages to figure it out, but I just get aggravated.

I wish I could just order Starz without a one year commitment but with Verizon Fios, that's the only option I am seeing. 1 full year.
