Oh my I feel like I'm scrapbooking in the dark ages, but I'm still using the original sized 12x12 albums for my kids school/activity albums. I had to pre-buy several of them along with the pages and protectors years ago when CM switched to "true" 12x12, but I just wanted to keep the books the same. Granted my kids are each leaving home with only 4-5 albums, but still lol. Gotta be honest here and admit I am so tired of scrapbooking with those CM albums! They do bring me a little joy too though since CM is how I got my start with scrapbooking.
For our family albums I left CM for CTMH postbound and then eventually to WRMK.

I used CM albums exclusively until the big fall out/closing/not closing/we are back thing they went through. I never used their pages, though. Just regular page protectors. I still have a few of them I need to decide if I am going to try to unload them or use them.
I moved to 3 ring binders and love that system.

I have never used CM albums. Do you use the ones with top load page protectors? The earliest CM books I remember were 8x10. Are you thinking about switching?

I still have some I'm using up - I use the A4 size which was in New Zealand/Australia and also have some of the 8 1/2 X11. I'm using 3 ring binders now for some albums but still like the CM ones for my travel albums, particularly know where I'm redoing old pics from vacations in the 1990s.
Thanks to a tip from a Pea, I don't stick anything to the album page itself. I work on a base and slide the finished layouts in through the side of the page protector. This means I can reshuffle pages easily.

I am still using them. I use the 12 x 12 & the 8 x 8. I like them better than the postbound albums & I love the quality of their stuff. I absolutely do not like the 3 ring kind - they just remind me of school binders. I know they are easier if you want to move things around, but I really dislike them aesthetically.

Do you put blank CM pages into page protectors then slide a page you made on top of the CM page? Glad I read that. I switched from CM albums 10 year ago but still have some I haven't used yet.

Anybody use the single pocket pages in the CM albums? Do you like them or do you feel like they are flimsy? Single Pocket Page

Yep I put approx 30 blank pages in each album and put the protectors on top than make my layouts separately and slide them on top of the blank CM pages.

I started with 9x12 CM albums, scrapping right on the background pages in the albums and slipping the custom page protectors over them, but switched to post bound and then to the 3-ring top load ones.
I like the option of changing what goes back to back with a particular page, adding and subtracting pages from particular albums. I also like using brads and 3-D items and mixed media, and I was always worried I would wreck a CM page.

I also use them. I stocked up a long time ago and have a combination of true 12x12 and the original, slightly smaller size. I hope someone answers about those empty pockets. I just finished my last CM album, so I'll need to be making a purchase soon.

I, too, stocked up on them. I just bought a new 12x12 from them because it is the USA theme for my 50 states bucket list project.

I have used CM albums since 1997. Since I had many finished albums when they went bankrupt, I bought extras and page protectors while they were still available.
I went rogue early on, and only used top-loading Westrim pages that were made for strap-hinge albums. I was an outcast at CM crops with my LSS-purchased stickers and paper.
My kids' high school albums are the only ones I've ever done directly on the CM pages. DS's was on natural, and DD's is gold flecked. These were albums that were easy to create chronologically, and I wanted the continuity of the page background throughout.
I've played around a bit with pocket albums, and have done 8 x 8 and 9 x 12 binders for everyday family stuff. CM is still the album I prefer. I love the colors and quality. There are some really cute new ones, with more 8 x 8s coming out soon. Sigh. I don't need and won't use more albums. But still...

I also use CM albums exclusively. I was so bummed when they went out of biz & I was hunting for a replacement. But now they are back & I am happy. Oak song, I use a few Project Life pages in my albums. I have to add a hole With a hole punch so they will line up with the straps, but it has worked out well. Does Westrim still make top loading strap hinge pages? I could use some of those. I never had any luck with CM's side loading sleeves,(even with digital pages) (they always wrinkled/buckled) so I always attach my pages to the CM pages & use the side loading page protectors.

I only use CM albums. Even when I started scrapping 13 years ago, I never scrapped on their pages, I just slid my completed layouts in on either side.
I was so excited when they came out with the "side loading sleeves" and used them until they went out of business.
During that uncertain time, I looked for a new album, but they were back in business before I.needed to buy anything. I only wish they came back with the side loading sleeves!!
Their single pocket is a good option, but they are expensive! Although I think their version is slightly nicer, I have started using the CTMH version. You get a lot more for your money (they have a value pack made just for the strap hinge).
I also used the CM multi packet pages if I want to add extra photos or a picket page to my album.
Cheers!
