Don't usually care for it, but DH had a delicious one with a fish fry last week. Anyone?

Oh MAN! We had such a GREAT one when I was in a chef training class way back when I was 18. To this day I still wish I had that ring binder it was in...it was SO good & I haven't tasted anything close since. Sorry I couldn't be more help

I have my grandmother's recipe that all of our family and friends love. After dinner, I'll come back and post it for you. Really simple.

I make mine with apple cider vinegar and olive oil, s/p, shredded carrots, celery, and a little red onion. It's really really basic. Sometimes I add bacon. If it's just for me, sometimes I add horseradish too

Here's our family recipe. I love Ms. Liz's idea of adding horseradish. GERMAN POTATO SALAD 2.5 to 3 lbs small red potatoes (the tinier, the better) 3/4 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup cider vinegar 1 tsp salt (or more, to taste) 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp celery seed 1/4 tsp dry mustard finely grated onion fresh parsley, chopped Boil potatoes (do not peel) until just done, then slice. If they're really small, just cut in half. Mix and bring to a boil the next seven ingredients. Pour hot dressing over hot potatoes in a medium-size dish, like maybe 7x11. Add onion and parsley. Stir occasionally until cool. May be served warm or cold. This just makes enough for a family dinner. You want to double or triple the recipe for a party.

Mine is like Lucy's, only with bacon added. I sauté the onions in a little bit of the bacon grease.
