I was scrapbooking last night (finally!) and had to move my Zipemate from where it normally sits, over to another area of the room with more room to crank the handle to use, plus put dies down, etc. Then I have to go over to another shelf to get out the container with my dies and embossing folders.
It made me think:
If I had a dedicated diecutting table, I would do more embossing and diecutting.
Because really, I love the way both look. It's mainly just laziness of having to move stuff around and then put it all back that stops me more often than not.
So it might be fun to answer this:
If I had (this), I would do more (of this).

I have a stack of paper pads that are stored in a space that's a little awkward to get to and I rarely use them because it's such a hard place to get to.

If I had more open shelving, I would probably use some things more. I forget about them.

a bit of twist for me
If I had less distractibility (internet, I'm looking at you), I would scrapbook more

If my kids would stop using my scrap table (my room is in the middle of the house) and I didn't have to clean it off/ search the house for my scissors at scrappy time...
On the other hand, if I had a room with a door and a lock I'd probably never go upstairs to use it.
I have to keep my stuff like my Big Shot in a cupboard, or the 3 year old would die cut everything in the house.

If I had a typewriter I would actually get journaling onto layouts and finished and not sitting in a folder for a year. I don't like my own handwriting on layouts and I despise getting the computer out and trying to figure out the sizing and printing test runs to get it right, a typewriter that worked would sort that problem out instantly.

A few:
If I had a better memory, I could actually find the perfect elements I have for every project.
If I had more patience, I would take the time to look for those elusive pieces.
If I had more skill, I would use more mixed media....

If I had a spot for my sewing machine, I'd machine stitch on layouts.
If I had patience, I'd hand stitch on layouts.
If I had a door that locked, I wouldn't have to clean off the crap that everyone puts on my desk because they don't know what to do with it.
If I had a housekeeper/chef/nanny, I'd have more time to scrapbook.

If I had more space or less stuff, I would scrap at home more.
I have outgrown my sewing/scrapbooking room and there are currently supplies piled on every flat surface. I have concluded that no number of storage solutions are really going to solve my problem, yet I am hesitant to purge because I love my stuff. Currently, if I want to work on something I set up on the kitchen table and run back and forth to my scrap room to get supplies, and then they never get put away perfectly because there really isn't a place for everything.

If I had a part time job with full time benefits, I would have a happier scrappy life. But seriously, I need a bigger scraproom. I really need to be able to see my stuff to use it, which is why I tend to use whatever is within reach. I would love to have a room with lots of table space for a sewing station, diecut station, etc.

If I had more skill, I would use more mixed media.... For me I don't know if it's skill. But to get really good at mixed media, you have to experiment a lot. And I don't have the patience for that. LOL.

Motivation! Scrapbook! Supplies, shopping, enjoying others make on YouTube is so much easier than starting a project myself.

If I had more table space, well, I guess I would just put more crap on it. I would like to think I would scrap more.

If I had my my backlog of pictures cleared up I would try art journaling and mixed media. I know I could do that now but i really need to get that stuff scrapped. Made a nice dent this weekend though.

If I had someone else to edit and print my photos, I would have them kitted with their journaling ready to scrap.
I just spent several hours going through the first part of 2016 and editing those photos with stories I still want to tell but haven't yet. Reminded me how much I dislike editing photos.

If I had a computer in my scraproom (or a laptop), I would finish journaling rather than put layouts in a pile to finish "later".

If I had a sewing machine I'd sew on my layouts. I used to have one and I sewed on my layouts all the time. I miss it and would like to look for a small, affordable one. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles.

Good question! If I had a large scrap desk I would do more techniques (room for getting messy) and more done in general (no clean up until finished).
