I'm in NYC this week, and just wondering if I should convince DH that we should visit? Just for browsing, of course

Whenever I don't want to spend the money, I find a handful of things I'd really like to get. When I have money, a project in the works, and intention, I find nothing. Still worth checking out, though! They have a lot of Heidi Swapp and MAMBI (I love their clear stickers).

Do you have Michaels near you normally? With so much to see and do in NYC I would spend all my time taking pictures to scrap!
Edited: I just realized you are from Norway so yes, go to Michaels!!

It depends on how different it is from what is available to you. You are a crafter, so a trip to the mothership certainly makes sense!

Hey, you're here in the US, you really should stop by and take in the crafting culture that is Michael's!

The Tim Holtz section has gotten a big boost lately, and the Jane Davenport art supplies are all really lovely (if that is your sort of thing). There isn't a whole lot of popular lines there, so as long as your expectation isn't to go in and get the latest from Pebbles, or Echo Park or whatnot, then it would be worth a visit.

I would say yes depending what kind of selection you have available. If not much, then yes! If you do... you could probably take it or leave it. I'm trying to think if there is a Hobby Lobby in those parts.. if there is, they have a better/bigger selection.. (I really don't think HL is in those parts though)

Even though you are just looking, don't forget to get a coupon.

Even though you are just looking, don't forget to get a coupon. Usually the coupons state they are not valid in the Manhattan store(s).

Coming from Norway, I bet you'll find some good deals on a few things. I don't know if you can, but they do have an app for smart phones and you can get coupons that way. Just bring it up at the store and they will scan it or manually enter the code.

If you're a crafter You really need the Michael's experience. I don't know how big the one in NY is but the bigger stores have tons of stuff. You're bound to find something you like.

Yes. The answer is yes. It will also have NYC embellishments, so you could use those. The phone app gives you better coupons than the 40% off in the paper or the current add. They usually have other deals on the app. If you sign up for emails, you can get some good coupons too.
