Hi Carolina, Wow, Israel! That is a bucket list destination for me too. 😊 Recently, I was a week in Portugal and shot everything with my iPhone. No extra lenses. I left my 'good' camera at home and didn't regret it. When you want to buy a nice camera, you could look into system cameras. I sold my Canon DSLR (60D) and all the lenses last year for a Fujifilm XT10 and one zoomlens. The Fuji camera is a lot smaller than a DSLR, but the image quality is the same a the Canon. Fuji is one of the best brands in the system camera world, the image quality is outstanding. There are lots of YouTube videos about how to use a system camera. I have watched one video, chose a preset and started shooting. Since then I haven't looked at all the other options my camera has, because I am happy with my pictures. 😊

The lenses for phones are nothing special. You can try them out if you want, but don't buy an expensive set. I bought some just for fun, but I would not recommend them for any special photography.
I have a full size big DSLR with all the lenses and love using it. But it is big and heavy, and if you are going to just shoot off the "auto" settings- don't bother getting one. You can buy some amazing Point & Shoots for not a huge amount of money and get just as good, or better pics with those.
I have a Panasonic Lumix and the pictures from that are amazing. It has a Lecia lens, which is top of the line as far as camera glass. The zoom is fantastic too.

I am sure I'd be using the auto settings on a DSLR, and don't want anything heavy - I will check out the Panasonic Lumix!
