Tonight I think I'm going to assemble Tuscan bean stew. I have everything I need, except the motivation. Maybe I need to hire a personal trainer to coach me through getting up and making stew.
What's on your menu?
Have a glorious Tuesday.

Tonight's dinner is going to be fairly simple. Steak from the grill, grilled veggies (if there are any left) and a pasta salad. Pasta is cooked - just need to turn it into salad soon.

I've had a tube of crescent rolls hanging out in my refrigerator for a long time so I searched online for something to do with them. I found Zesty Italian Crescent Casserole. It's lame, but dh likes lame.

I took a turkey breast out of the freezer that turned out to be already cooked. (I am not an expert on turkey breasts, and I guess I didn't realize/notice when I bought it.) Too bad, because I had found a nice-looking crockpot recipe on Pinterest. oh well. So I will heat that up, maybe. With some kind of potatoes and veggies. Or I'll do something even lazier and save it for another day. shrug Tomorrow I'm going out with friends (actually, pea friends ... I'll see if they'll let me post a picture) so you may not hear from me. Yesterday the 8yo talked me into McDonald's because it's Gilroy garlic fries season. I thought they were gross, but what do I know?

Dinner? No idea, but at least I'm not the one cooking it! We have been to the Museum of Natural History this morning, and after a bit of shopping, we plan to do nothing for the rest of the evening, since we have a busy day tomorrow.

Lucyg, I probably could google this but would rather know from you - does your McD's put sometype of Gilroy Garlic sauce/spice/? on their fries for this occasion? Interesting.... Dinner tonight at our house is still unknown. I'd like something grilled but don't have anything ready for the grill. Maybe a trip to the store will help ...

JoP, NOTHING says happy like having a shower when it's been awhile. Enjoy. lucyg, have a grand time and hopefully you can share a picture later. I'm using up food in the fridge, so tonight will be a ground beef/rice/pepper skillet dish. I'll try to come with a veggie side too. We are going to visit FIL in the rehab center this evening. My MIL says he's really feeling down. He's prone to bouts of depression and I'd hate to see him headed that way with all the physical challenges he faces right now.

Well now I've got the urge to be nosy and know what pea friends lucyg is lucky enough to hang out with. I've got a Rachel Ray buffalo chicken with mashed potatoes and carrots recipe from Hello Fresh. It just isn't screaming my name. And it seems no one else in the house really wants it either so maybe I'll just eat a bagel.

Well, last night, I ended up not making the Spicy Sausage pasta. Instead, I made the Jambalaya that I had told DH I would make last week (but the sausage I had was expired) and I also made Kielbasa and Sauerkraut. Leftovers tonight!

Lucyg, I probably could google this but would rather know from you - does your McD's put sometype of Gilroy Garlic sauce/spice/? on their fries for this occasion? Interesting.... It's probably just a regional thing since we're in the same area as Gilroy. Like, you can get brats at McD's in Wisconsin, and Spam at McD's in Hawaii. Anyway, they had some kind of garlic seasoning, not a sauce but I'm guessing a sprinkle? Plus chopped parsley that looked fresh. The bag reeked of garlic when they handed it to me. or depending on your point of view, ha ha. The problem was that although they claim the garlic fries are cooked to order, and we had to wait at the window "for the fries," and we closed up the bag when it arrived and drove straight home (less than 5 min) ... the fries were cold and limp when we got there. If they'd been hot and crisp, I'm sure we would have liked them better.

As we get closer hopefully we can get more Michigan peas to join us. I am excited as I don't know anyone outside of the board.

Last night was steak on the grill with baked potato on the grill and frozen veggies in the microwave and warmed bread on the grill. Very happy dinner!! Tonight is Taco Tuesday - $1.00 tacos at a restaurant near the house. More than likely a half pitcher of margaritas to go with.

Turkey sandwiches tonight - it's too hot to cook and I've made lasagna and shrimp stir fry the last two nights, so I'm over being near the stove.

It will be a simple dinner around here tonight because I am tired! I am going to make that Bisquick Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie. I made it a few months ago and everyone seemed to like it, so I hope it will be successful again tonight!

It's chicken salad in an avocado half and a salad alongside. I have some grainy crackers, too, so we are in good shape.
Thanks for the thread.

lucyg I'd toss that cooked turkey ( cut up) into a pan of uncooked noodles and mixed veggies with stock and make a casserole. Topped with generous amounts of American 'cheese' when it's done. It was my comfort food as a kid. Have fun tomorrow with your pea friends.

Well, now I'm making these crispy burritos because I have all the ingredients and you-know-who thinks they sound delish. I'm adding sautéed shredded cabbage so there's something resembling a vegetable in there. hop2, thanks, that sounds good, too. Like chicken spaghetti. That's the ticket! Not till at least Thursday night, though.

I got some sushi for dinner. We are sick of lasagne already and wanted something different for a change.
I need some more ideas for dinner that the family will eat. Has to be able to be carb modified, taste good, and something other than bbq steak, chicken or fish. They won't eat casseroles because carbs.
I can make beef stroganoff but DS doesn't like it so he just gets steak. My dad says he likes everything unless well there are carbs in it and then he doesn't like it.
I think maybe I am sick of cooking already.
