I need a calendar app with alarms/ alerts/ bells/ whistles...I guess I'm getting so old or forgetful that I forget to check my calendar. I just use the free calendar Apple puts on iPhones but I definitely need something better. I'm willing to pay but not a lot, lol!
Thanks!!

I use Cozi for my calendar so I can share it with DH. The free version is pretty good.
You might also want to make friends with Siri - I have her remind me to check things I need to. You could set up a recurring reminder to check the calendar until it becomes a habit. I also like that once you set up the "Hey Siri" option, I can have her remind me of things I think of that I need to do while I'm commuting to and from work (I ALWAYS remember stuff then and forget it as soon as I'm out of the car LOL!)

I use a combination of the Apple Calendar app with the Apple Reminders app and it covers everything I need to be reminded for. I presume you know you can set two alarm reminders for an event in Calendars? Reminders will keep appearing on screeen until you have checked them off as completed when you have a time and date set for them. I love that that app keeps nagging me. If I am really anxious not to forget something very important, I set up an alarm to go off, and this can be done a week in advance, so it's useful for things that pop into your head that absolutely must get done. I would use that for example to remind me to collect someone from the airport. Uisng the same Apple alarm app, I occasionally set a timer to go off - I mostly use that to remind me to take something out the oven.

We use Cozi and really like it. I like that it is for Apple or Android devices so everyone in the family can add events and see the calendar. I set reminders all the time. You can set it so the reminders go only to the people who are involved in the event. I am sure there are other calendar that do the exact thing, but we started with Cozi and it works well for us.

Supercal 2 app. I think it was $4.99 back in the day. Syncs with my contacts, emails reminders, compatible with my google calendar. I love it!

I have yet to find a calendar app that I get on with well. Currently I use PocketLife calendar to record things and - I know this will sound stupid - I use Alarmed to tell me to check the calendar! I've been doing it for months and I still get surprised when the alarm goes! I don't know what my problem is because when I worked in offices I checked the calendar and diary regularly with no prompting.
I also use Alarmed for reminders, birthdays, appointments, to do's etc. You can set it for just one time or recurring times so "check the calendar" goes off every day for me and a reminder to send an order for something for work goes off weekly etc.. It will nag me too, until I tell it I've done what it's reminding me about. Works well enough for now.
