I am looking for designs for interactive cards, including shaker cards. Do any of you have some pins or links to designs I might be able to adapt?

You probably already know this, but you can turn the front of any card into a shaker by making your shaker section with poster tape cut into thin strips lengthwise. A window card would be especially easy to adapt. There are a few die companies that make window dies. Or if you have a Cameo, I'm pretty sure you can find a window cutting file in the Silhouette Design Store.
There is also a company that I saw at a recent convention that makes various pop-up shapes for shaker cards. I bought a few. The packages say "Queen and Co." If you google them, they probably have a website with card samples and ideas.

Here is the Facebook photo gallery for Queen and Co. : Queen & Co. gallery
They also have dies that match their shaker pop up shapes.

Thanks, Ladies. I tried one today, but I ran into trouble with the adhesive. The strips were too wide, and really sticky to cut in half lengthwise, so I got the brilliant idea to fold the tape in half to attach the top portion to the card. Looked great at first, but then when I went back the tape had unfolded and some of the confetti had stuck to it, and I am not sure if I can salvage the card or need to just start over again.
Back to the drawing board!

I don't like using the adhesive tape because of that reason... everything inside the shaker part sticks to it! I have been cutting several slightly smaller shapes that match the shape of the cutout and gluing them together to form a stack and using that instead of the tape. Since the only part that will be sticky is the top and bottom that are attached to the cards there is no stick!

But you can use powder (I just use a white eye shadow) around the sticky parts so the sequins don't stick when you shake it. I also like Jennifer McGuire's flat shaker card tutorial, so much easier and you don't have to worry about the sequins sticking to the sides/adhesive of the card.

I ended up taking the top off my card and attaching it to a larger piece of clear packaging Affixed one layer of the tape to that adhesive, put some confetti into the middle, and stuck it onto a new card base. There was one little gap, but I filled it with crystal accents. I snapped per a quick photo of the card, but need to transfer from my camera to my computer before I can share it. Next at time I will use a bigger acrylic piece for sure. Might try craftmepink 's powder idea, or just run a bead of liquid glue around the edge, let it dry, add the filling, then attach to the card with tape. ETA Here is my card. This photo is wonky, but the card is straight (one of the few things I didn't struggle with--THIS time ) mr&mrs8 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I learned how to make shaker cards from watching Lawn Fawn videos. Kelly Marie uses Stick It adhesive on craft foam. I find this much easier than using the tape.

I was trying to find the videos I watched. Here is one from Lawn Fawn that uses the Stick It adhesive sheets and craft foam. It is not Kelly Marie Alavarez. It might be Chari Moss, who I also enjoy. m.youtube.com/watch?v=m4NtHMD65yw

Your card is cute, grammadee! I'd like to check out some of these links. I love shaker cards. My only inspiration so far has been Vicki Papaioannou. She always makes a shaker card in her SSS 10 Cards/ 1 Kit YouTube videos. I always use foam tape, but I don't mind if some of the sequins stick to the sides.

They also have dies that match their shaker pop up shapes. I just took their class at Scrapbook Expo. Love their products! They are so thick. I've tried the homemade method and my shaker do-dads always got stuck in the tape.

This is the first video I came to. Fast forward through it to around 14:18. She shows using the EK Success Powder Tool on the tape. This keeps the sequins from sticking to the tape. Video
This is the EK Success Powder Tool that I use.
Instead of using the tape, I often use a piece of fun foam. Here is a Jennifer McGuire video showing her using fun foam. Watch around 5:22. Video
If you only have one die, the fun foam can be cut with the same die, just take scissors and make it so the fun foam doesn't show through the window.

I make flat shakers (for mailing) with my Fuse Tool and a Avery Elle stamp pocket. Cut the stamp pocket to the desired shape or size, leaving a bit extra. Zip of three sides with the Fuse tool, fill with the sequin mix, then zip up the fourth side. Adhere behind the card front.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

The issue I always have with the shakers is that the foam doesn't seem thick enough or I use too many shaker bits, but they don't move around much!

I LOVE shaker cards... so much so that for the last two years my Christmas cards have been shakers. A few weeks ago I started thinking about Christmas cards. My process always starts with a prototype which low and behold turned out to be yet another shaker card. I showed my husband... he rolled his eyes and said "not another one of those"... I figured he was probably right so I changed my design to a non-shaker card this year... and I can't say that I'm at all happy about it! LOL
As for sequins and shaker pieces getting stuck to the foam tape, I have had great success using craft foam sheets with score tape.

I'm always behind the times. I've only made one shaker card but I do have the makings to do so. I'm aways too busy looking at others than crafting myself. I got to get off my tush and create as soon as my scrap room is available to use. I can get to enough stuff to make anything yet. Thanks guys for the tips. Grammadee your shaker card is gorgeous. Did you make with a die or an electronic machine?

I love making shaker cards but was making them with the sticky foam or with the plain foam pads. I like learning about the other ways to make the layers for the shakers.
