I have a long time friend who has an eating disorder, and is going thru some rough stuff. ED related and not. I am not a pray-er but I do believe in the power of Pea prayer. My youngest is going thru the same things so seeing my friend is like a window to the future with DD and it scares me.
"April" is a beautiful, amazing wife, mother, teacher and friend. If you can, lift her up in thought and prayer. What is happening is so unfair and so wrong.
Thank you all. I know it's a bit mental to be an atheist and ask for prayers, but I am going to the cathedral tomorrow to pray myself. It makes me feel better, and maybe her as well, and screw it I haven't got to explain myself to anyone. And perhaps someone will listen after all.
Im really sad guys.

Prayers and positive thoughts also for you and your youngest, too. I can hear the pain and worry in your "voice."
And you definitely do not have to explain going to a cathedral or anything else to anyone. Anything that helps is a good thing.

I'll say some prayers for your friend and for your dd as well. I am an atheist AND I pray. It's hard to explain. I don't pray to God, because I don't believe in a god, but I do feel we are all connected, and that there is power to prayer. (((HUGS)))

During a very challenging time in my life. one of my close friends (who happens to be an atheist) said she'd pray for me. When I asked her why she was volunteering to do that, she said because G-d always hears from the religious folks so since she's an unfamiliar voice, there might be a better chance at getting heard.
