If you have learned how to do vinyl with your Cricut - please recommend some tutorials. I'm determined to master this technique and some beginner tutorial suggestions would be so wonderful. Thank you.

If you have learned how to do vinyl with your Cricut - please recommend some tutorials. I'm determined to master this technique and some beginner tutorial suggestions would be so wonderful. Thank you. I have an Explore. I have one blade I only use for vinyl so that it stays sharp. I use the green or blue mat. My machine cuts fine on Vinyl setting. Some crafters have to use the Washi or Post it Notes setting. Make sure your mat isn't well used. Vinyl will cut better on a fairly clean mat. I don't know of any beginner tutorials. I started with my older Cricut machines and vinyl years ago.

I can't make any suggestions for the Cricut, as I have a Cameo. But I will say that I find cutting vinyl so easy as there are no slubs or imperfections in the paper to get caught on the blade. I do a slight overcut to get nice crisp corners. I use the same blade for everything and only change it out once a year or so. And I use my Cameo several times a week.

I have cut vinyl with my Cameo many times. I learned by searching youtube for tutorials. I looked at several to get a feel for it so I don't have a specific one to recommend - they're all good.
