Sigh. It pecks on the upper corner of our bedroom. Hanging disks that kept him away has fallen. Instead of just re hanging the disks hubby keeps running outside and scaring it away. I am at the point where I don't even want to tell him the bird is back. Every time he scares it away it comes back and husband is getting exhausted chasing out there flapping and yelling. Again. Sigh. I will re hang the disk myself. And our street is under construction for the last month. Steam roller is shaking our house. Not a peaceful evening.

This made me laugh because we have a woodpecker too that pecks on our roof just above our bedroom and my husband tries to chase/shoo/scare it away as well, and it keeps coming back . What are these disks you speak of?

What are these disks you speak of? Maybe old CD's? I know we've used old CDs on a string and the shiny flashy side scares some birds. Though it attracts other birds, if it's hanging/dangling on a string they have no where to land to admire themselves so it doesn't do them much good.

We frequently have a woodpecker pounding on our metal roof. I wonder what his beak looks like.

You'd think one of them would learn by now! LOL. Good luck getting your CDs hung back up.

Our neighbors had a woodpecker that was pecking at their kids' playhouse roof...but it was a plastic roof!! Ya know, plastic but it was made to look like wood? It had put holes all over the roof!! She'd come running out of the house with a broom to scare it away! LOLOL
