I am gifting a friend a gift card from William Sonoma. She is going to love it but I don't want to just toss it in an envelope or a gift card tin. I need a creative way to present it.
Please share all and any ideas. I am desperate.

Put it into a balloon and blow up the balloon with helium. She will have to pop the balloon to get the gift card. If you want to spend a little extra, tie the balloon to a small plant.

How about putting it a mason jar with some Hershey's Kisses?

I'd find a cute, inexpensive oven mitt or kitchen towel and tuck the gift card inside. My mother in law loves kitchen gadgets and stores, and I've wrapped gift cards for her this way. The oven mitt had a pocket I tucked the card into. The towel was folded so there was a little pocket to tuck the card into.

I once hid gift cards under the outer wrappings of several large candy bars for my nieces and nephews. I also gave them each a gift of movie tickets and show candy to give them an evening out, but I added the gift cards for extra fun. I made sure they knew about them before I left the party so that they didn't end up opening them in the dark at the show and have them drop to the floor unnoticed.
You could also wrap the gift card in some of that really clingy clear wrap, foil, or the shrinking kind that shrinks up when you hit it with a blow dryer. Just something to protect the card itself. Then bake some cupcakes and stick the protected card into one of the cooled cupcakes and frost it, making sure the edge of the card is well hidden under the frosting. I would only bring a few cupcakes so that I knew the card would be discovered soon. I guess that wouldn't work if she had children who would be taking cupcakes to eat.
That's all I've got tonight. I try to think of more in the morning.

Empty plastic bottle (return lid) - remove label - small slit - insert festive wrapping (shred, confetti, glitter) and gift card - clear packing tape over slit - create new label appropriate to the occasion - decorate around lid (I totally love curling ribbon!)

Buy a whisk, place the gift card and a lot of curling ribbon inside the wires of the whisk. You could also add the corny message of " Whisking you a Happy Birthday" (or whatever the occasion is).

My daughter is a pun genius so she would totally do this.
