I recommended KB's Silhouette classes to several people before all the hoohah with her new site (I actually took them when she still worked via Jessica Sprague's site and before she went it alone). However, more recently I bought one of her "weekend" project classes and was disappointed. Not only did I feel I was beta-testing an unfinished product (there were several glitches about which she was "relaxed") I felt I was simply walked through a prescriptive process she had done herself - my finished project looked the same as hers and I didn't learn enough to be able to make changes. My opinion is that she is good at what she does but she's no teacher and her CS leaves a lot to be desired, as you can tell from that thread.

I bought several of the Silhouette classes before the website disaster and did get a lot out of them. I did the Getting to know You, Custom Made and Just Add Colour. However, if you're looking for Silhouette related stuff, I believe Jessica Sprague is also very good.
If you are going to do a KB class make sure to download all the materials and save the videos - that's what I do now with every class I take because I just don't trust that things will be available any more!

I get emails from Silhouette school, I'm at work 😀 (Ha!) so I can't link it, but I'm sure it's easy to find with a search.
I honestly haven't looked at a lot of the content, but another scrapper recommended it to me some time ago.

Frankly -- I don't think that Kerri Bradford is a very good teacher .. and especially not good at entry level Silhouette training. She doesn't teach step by step enough for beginners. But I don't think her classes are really for beginner users of a cutting machine, but better, perhaps for beginning DESIGNERS of a cutting file for a cutting machine. She doesn't teach how to purchase, download and cut any SVG design -- but she teaches how to create a SVG design using the tools in the program.
Wilna Furstenburg has a good, excellent, FREE beginner Silhouette class

I did a lot of Kerri Bradford's classes before her website disaster and I actually downloaded the videos because I wanted to watch them on my iPad when I didn't have an internet connection. I liked them and I learned a lot. I still watch them every so often to refresh my memory. But based on what happened with her site, I doubt I will take another class and I'd be hard pressed to recommend one now.

I ordered a bunch of stamps this am and they have already shipped, so that's great customer service. Based on feedback I'll hold off on the courses and try Wilna's instead. I must admit I hate buying courses all over the place because I'll forget so it's a good tip about downloading and I don't like bpcs model. I want a one cost and done deal.
Thanks for the feedback everyone

@northrigg I find it helpful to set up a folder for each class I buy, save all the materials and resources and, most important of all, to save all the videos there too. I use an inbuilt Firefox add on called Video Download Helper (or similar) and don't have to rely on classes being perpetually available or accessible, because the materials I have purchased are there on my hard drive.
