I just noticed a typo on the Home Chefs Cookbook paper. The recipe for the filet at the bottom says "8 tespoons unsalted butter". Oops

Erm. Is no one going to ask lilacgal about her metal chicken called Beyoncé? Or does everyone know about this chicken already? Am I the only one dying to know more? EXCUSE ME. Please tell me it's a real chicken you called Beyoncé and that moves her head like she's at a hardrock concert... 😂 You mean everyone doesn't have a metal chicken named Beyoncé? Six years ago (2011), I stumbled upon a blog post by The Bloggess. To avoid an argument about towels, she bought a five foot tall metal chicken which she and her friend named it Beyoncé Then she put it on her doorstep for her husband to discover. She said it was an anniversary gift - fifteen years is a giant metal chicken. I read that post out loud to my husband, and we both died laughing. Hubby then put in out joint calendar that June 29, 2017 was our Giant Metal Chicken anniversary. Years rolled by and we celebrated that anniversary a few weeks ago. While I couldn't find an affordable giant metal chicken (those suckers are expensive!), I did find one about three months ago that is about a foot and half tall. I immediately bought her, named her Beyoncé, and hid her under my scrapbook desk because I knew he'd never look there. Needless to say, Beyoncé was a hit as an anniversary gift. She is going to have some felt added to her feet so we can display her proudly in our living room. I plan on dressing her up for holidays. Last night, my daughter put a blanket around her "because Beyoncé looked cold." That chicken paper is a must own because Beyoncé will most definitely have her story told in our albums! Aside from hunting for years for a metal chicken for this express purpose, I have no interest in chicken decor. She totally doesn't match anything but will be a conversation piece for sure! I never thought I'd see chicken scrapbook paper and immediately go, "I must have that!" I just saw one of these in Tuesday Morning and thought, "who would buy that?" Now I know! Love your story. Happy Giant Metal Chicken Anniversary!

Its literally a rehash of October Afternoon. While I miss OA - I was hoping he could put a different spin on it. Hey there! Thanks for the feedback. There's a bit of a personal backstory on this line. For years I've wanted to do something in honor of the two most inspirational and wonderful women in my early life....the ladies who inspired my love of vintage antiques and who encouraged me in pursuing a career in art...my Mom and Aunt Cleo. They were best friends and my own Lucy and Ethel. When I was given the opportunity to do Country Kitchen the look and designs came to me with little effort. It's very much my own personal style, probably more than on most of the lines that I do. I drew the dark haired farm woman after my Aunt Cleo and the red haired woman as my mom (circa 1960's-when I was a little kid). Cleo had a farm kitchen that I loved to be in as a kid...so much color, patterns, life...and the designs in this line are inspired by it. Unfortunately Cleo and my Mom have both passed away, but their friendship and love of country kitchens lives on in me and this line.

I absolutely can't wait to get this collection. Farm Girl was my favorite collection from OA. I'm hoping to see new collections, as well as some of your classic designs. I love them all.

I love this line and love the story behind it so much, such beautiful memories. I am not sure how much of this line I could physically use as the theme is something that I don't have much use for in my scrapbooking but that orange chicken paper I have a layout in mind straight away. Keep up the good work Steven, I look forward to seeing your new lines

I like more of the B sides than the A sides, but the few B sides that I don't like have A sides that I do like, so it all works out. I like that the 6x6 pad is double sided (for the choices and for the thicker paper), and I might actually pay full price for this one. I'd love for this thread to descend into a "what will you do with your chicken paper?" thread. I plan to use the orange chicken paper with some some photos of us out for breakfast. We have chickens, soooo... I like a lot of this line and could use it for a bunch of stuff.

I'm rarely bothered by grammar errors. I'll still buy if I like the overall design of the paper. It's obvious I'm not the one who made the mistake. Besides, I typically mess up my handwritten journaling and can't be bothered to redo it to make it look perfect.

I asked SuRie to spell check it for me...and she thought I meant for her to look up "a Chilis" so now I know that the nearest Chilis restaurant is just a town away. Good to know!

I absolutely adore all the work of stevenduncandesigner and own all of the OA lines and CB lines. I didn't clue in that he had branched out to EP, also. One thought, though....could the "creamy" edges maybe be removed in the future? It's something we could ink ourselves if we wanted, and if we are wanting a crisper, cleaner edge, it's not happening. But, hear, hear!! SO GLAD to have you back in the biz, and keep all the paper love coming!!!

I love it, and what I love best is that I can mix it with the OA I have! That chicken paper is just the best! One of my favorite things about OA was that you could often mix their lines because the colors were often similar from line to line. So I'm all for being able to mix in this line as well. I loved OA's Farm Fresh & Farm Girl lines because we have a lot of farmers' market/farm type photos. And while this line is kitchen themed, not farm, it still has a lot of elements that will go well with vegetable garden/farm/farmers' market pics. And I'll still have the kitchen themed items to use for other things.
(And if you want to know the true versatility of OA--I used the B sides of Farm Fresh for a pregnancy album for my son, that had absolutely nothing to do with farms, animals, or vegetables, LOL!)Save

I might need this *just* to scrap about these horrible chicken/rooster wall hangings my mother in law used to have in her kitchen.
