A while back I got some great feedback here about things you all might like to see available for sale as printables. I've been having some fun messing around designing stuff and thought maybe I could try to fill a niche for the peas (things that are not pink, unorthodox themes/phrases, etc). I haven't been very happy with anything I've come up with until today so I decided to list my first set of 3x4 printables. I designed them for a camping project I'm currently working on. Maybe that's the trick, I need to be inspired by my own projects lol. Anyway, I just thought I'd put a link out there in case anyone might want them for their own projects. www.etsy.com/listing/544133729/into-the-woods-project-life-style?ref=shop_home_active_1*Please don't be too harsh on your feedback, I'm not a professional designer this is just something I'm doing for fun to try to make a little extra money.

I really like the first one. I'd like more detail on the others, but they are nice.

But I had wondered if others might want them to not be as plain. I really like them! And, like you, I would have used them as journaling cards, so would want to have a lot of free space on them to write on. I figure, I can always add stuff to a PL card, but if there's no where to write, there's no where to write. You did a great job on those! I hope you continue to design printables and share your work with us.

Those are really nice. Sometimes I print my photos for PL in 2"x2" squares so the other cards with a design at the top and bottom are nice for those. But I can see adding more to them would just make them even nicer. Maybe offer both in a set. A couple cards like you have (the trees along the top and bottom) and then another card with a little bit more on it. Just a thought. Can't wait to see more.

I like that they go with some of the lines that are currently out!

I suggest adding watermarks...they can easily be copied as they are now.

I've never done project life but I use those style cards on layouts all the time. I wasn't sure if I even wanted to include "project life" in the title or description because I don't want people to feel limited.

I really like the colors and see this going well with the Simple Stories Line (Cabin Fever I believe).

Very cute. Like some of the above posters I don't do much PL but I do use cards in my layering. I'm not a camper though so I was wondering if you're planning some other themes.

Yes, I'm planning on some other themes/designs. I just seem to have a horrible time getting inspired when I sit down to design though. Is there anything in particular that you're looking for?

My family and I went fishing recently, just to a local stream where we fished from shore. So fishing themed without boats, lakes, etc would be fun.

I like them. I like the ones without so much detail, but when I grab a card like this it's often because I want a journaling card. The detail cards I only typically use when I make a Pocket page which I don't do very often. Also I can add my own embellishments on top of the non-detailed ones.

I really like that first card and the color scheme. Is the script "into the " your handwriting or a font? It's very nice.

Those are really cool, chaosisapony. When they are printables, people can make them as big or as small as they need for their scrapping style. Being inspired by your own scrappy projects is a cool idea, and if you are like me, your creative juices will flow much more freely if you are working on something you love. Doing camping ones now makes sense. If you keep up with your scrapping through the seasons, I am sure the cards will be current enough that people will want them then too. One icon I have expressed an interest in and it has been echoed by other peas is for a modern vehicle--car, suv, or pickup truck--that fits into the various themes. So many of the pp lines have VW buses for camping, or '50's style truck for hauling Christmas trees... How about developing an image of a modern vehicle doing these things--or other activities: car pooling to school or kids' sporting activities, the daily drive to work, even being stuck in traffic? Also looking for more modern images of grandparents (gramma sans apron, and granddad sans pipe) doing the things grandparents do TODAY. And I think those might sell, too. Only other suggestions I might make are: (1) What about borders around lines for journaling? Then the people who want them as journaling cards will have both design and writing space. (2)Have you thought about different shapes like circles or squares? Maybe pumpkins or Christmas tree shapes later? Good luck with your project. Sounds fun. I think if you scroll through threads on this forum about what peas want to see in a pp line, that will give you some additional ideas.

If I did digital PL, I would purchase these! They are quite nice, and different from what is out there.

They are nice for digital scrapbooking. I would recommend to add watermarks to your designs. And may be an image showing all of those printable together?

I really like that first card and the color scheme. Is the script "into the " your handwriting or a font? It's very nice. Thanks! It's a font, but one I altered the look of using Photoshop. One icon I have expressed an interest in and it has been echoed by other peas is for a modern vehicle--car, suv, or pickup truck--that fits into the various themes. So many of the pp lines have VW buses for camping, or '50's style truck for hauling Christmas trees... (2)Have you thought about different shapes like circles or squares? Maybe pumpkins or Christmas tree shapes later? Thank you for the ideas! One of the things I am struggling with is creating designs and icons without pulling from clip art or online graphics as a base. I don't want to cross into copyright gray area but I'm not an illustrator by any stretch of the imagination. So I'm not sure how I would tackle something like people or vehicles. I need to do some research into royalty free designs that I could use as a jumping off point. They are nice for digital scrapbooking. I would recommend to add watermarks to your designs. And may be an image showing all of those printable together? Great idea, thanks
