Good Monday morning fellow pea's....
Well I finally bought 2 oxide inks. I was so shocked the Mike's had them in Canada. I got 2 so far with a 50% off coupon. I will go back and get what colours they have with coupons.
I spent last weekend (July 8th) making 2 of my Art Deco Tattered Lace cards that needed to be mailed out that weekend. So got them done. Got them packaged. Put them in the mail on Sunday July 9th to be mailed. On Friday July 14th neither had made their destination. Which was just ridiculous. One was going one town over and the other was going a little further but still within Province. So I called and complained to my Post Office. I mailed a card to my Aunt in May that never arrived either. And its not lack of postage either. So mad. Cards can take a lot of work. They can be expensive to make as well and for them not to get to their destination I was so mad and sad all at the same time. One was going to a fellow scrapbooker as it was his 60th bday.
My next scrappy gathering is the 2nd weekend in August. Looking forward to that. I know what I am making too. So easy and small packing!!!!
I need to clean up the scraprooms too. They have yet to recover from my retreat back in May. At least its just putting stuff I pulled away. I have a lot of unprocessed dies though. Need to sort thru and put them away in my system.
Oh I have decided I'm going to try to scrapbook in my room again. I usually just bring out what ever and scrapbook at the coffee table. But I really want to art journal more so that is a lot easier to leave out. Hubby is pretty good about my scrapbook stuff being where ever but I think leaving art journal crap out on the coffee table all week he might decide to mention it.
My LSS is having its annual yardsale next month. I went last year with a couple friends. It was a lot of fun and I was shocked at what great stuff there was. I took $45 in small bills and an a bag and filled it.
I think that is all right now.

Yesterday I sat & punched out 144 x 1' circles to use on a layout, I've stuck them all down & hope to finish the layout some time this week.
I am off to a scrapbook retreat at the end of the month, two & half days of scrapping & laughing, oh and shopping of course. I still have to print the photos off I will need to take with me & sort out my tool kit.
Now I'm stuck at work when I'd much rather be home playing with paper!

I hope those cards show up late instead of not at all. I know when I mail handmade cards or any card with money or giftcards in them, I have to put them in a bubblewrap padded envelope so that I can put tracking and insurance on them. There have been too many cases of mail fraud and theft to chance it. Yesterday I sat & punched out 144 x 1' circles to use on a layout, I've stuck them all down & hope to finish the layout some time this week. Wow! That's a lot. Are they part of the background? Did you use a specific color scheme? I'm so interested in your layout already.

I just bought two small lights to improve my lighting for process videos. Hope they work! One of my spare bedrooms has been cleared out, so I have been moving stuff from my scraproom to that room. I feel like it's the only way I'm going to be able to spread stuff out enough to be able to sort through it. It's nice to have more breathing room. I am scrapbooking often these days. Need the creative therapy.

Hubby is pretty good about my scrapbook stuff being where ever but I think leaving art journal crap out on the coffee table all week he might decide to mention it. I'm in the same situation - I bring my stuff out of my scraproom in the basement up to our kitchen table so I can watch TV with hubby while I scrapbook - I can spend all weekend scrapbooking doing this. But, I want to get messier with mixed media, plus my stuff is starting to take over our upstairs (when I'm too lazy to put everything back downstairs). I need to focus on scrapbooking in my room again - I just hate being alone all day if I do this. I'm torn between my two loves - my hubby and my hobby I bought my first Distress Oxides a few weeks ago while on vacation but haven't had a chance to use them yet - hopefully this weekend I will, I'm really excited. I am really into Irit Landgraf's YouTube videos, as well as Missy Whedon's - they're so talented. I also really like Prairie Paper and Ink's videos for making cards. I could watch them all day if I had the time.

One of my missing cards showed up via mail to its intended receiver. 7 business days later unbelievable.
I usually scrapbook when hubby is out so it's not like I'm missing time with him. And I have a tv in scraproom too. Hubby has his own room for his video games / his boxing collection. I have a genealogy room as well. Not sure why I don't like my scraproom.
Considering getting a table for the yard sale to sell some stuff. Not sure though. I have a family gathering that day so wouldn't be able to stay all day. my dad is going and I haven't saw him in 9 years he lives 3000kms away so we will be going earlier than normal. I got rid of 4 banker / paper boxes full of stuff already that I gave to friends. I have some other stuff that I know I could part with and never miss. In reality though I have the space for it and I like the option.
This weekend I'd like to work on my scraproom get it cleaned up.

I want to make a big (for me) Stampin Up order, but I'm hesitating on it. Hate decision making, lol.

Don;t I know it! I want some stamp sets- mermaids, moon baby, lighthouse. Also, the new colour range in inks and pens, plus paper and embellishments. Also, the stamp blocks and case. SO tired of never finding them when I need them!

I want to use the cardstock for Christmas cards, and also other projects but before I order I want to know which colours and I am behind in my designing phase.... And then deciding on twine, ribbon etc....

I went through and sorted my scraps by color the other day and it made pages so easy to put together. I have been scrapping alot lately(and buying oops!) but it feels so great to have my mojo back again!! Creating again has done wonders for my depression, I feel so much better. I still have my bad days, but at least I have some great ones too!!

I took next week off work and one of the projects I have set for myself is to get all of my scrapbook stuff except the rolling tote I take to crops out of my dining room. Yes, it is likely to get placed in my unusable scrap room but at least my dining room will resume its intended purpose. I have allocated one day to get the dining room in order. I have absolutely no idea where I am going to put the stuff when I move it.
I am not going to attempt to organize the scrapbook room because I have other rooms I want to get in order before I tackle that one. At this point I just want to get boxes or tubs and dump all of the stuff into them and go through them one at a time eventually. I may end up doing another paper purge as well!

I have a lot of rooms in my house to organize too, and I really need to tackle them one by one. My scrap room is organized somewhat, but it could really use some work. I'm finding a lot of things to go onto my pages after I thought they were complete. I am realizing I either have too much stuff or not enough storage lol

I am realizing I either have too much stuff or not enough storage lol I have decided that it truly is that I have too much stuff. I have scrapped thousands of layouts and have way over 150 completed albums - I just completed 3 albums of about 70 pages each last week. So I simply do not need all of what I have. I just don't. But it is so disorganized that I don't know what I have so I rebuy or can't find what I wanted to use so I use something else and then buy more. I love new product but I have plenty of storage and my problem is I have way to much stuff to fit in the storage, and then I forget I have it. what I need to do is seriously and I do mean seriously, without hoarder mentality, just pare down. Maybe even toss stuff I know that no one wants. I have those large raw chipboard letters and shapes - I will never use them and no one else will either. They need to be trashed. But I say to myself, "Well you can use them as a template..." That's hoarder mentality.

Completed layout using 144 circles as a couple of you were asking to see it. There are circles under the photo too as I wasn't sure exactly where I was going to place everything

My storage could be better used. I have a pic posted in the scrap room thread although its a dark pic and hard to see. I got rid of a lot things I really didnt love or thought I'd use when I set up the craft room (gave it to my future step dd- I kinda wish I had some things back because I miss them lol. I truly LOVE the things I have, and so I'm not purging anymore, except maybe occasional paper or what not. My problem is when I pull page kits, I usually just pull papers and hunt around in each section for embellies when creating each page(too time consuming). I think I am going to start pulling embellies for several pages at a time(maybe set in an iris container) so I can pull from just that container when I am scrapping.

I have not participated in this thread before, so hopefully I have the right idea about it...if not please ignore everything that I am saying I am in the process of moving my scrapbook room into an empty bedroom. Therefore, my stuff is a disaster lol. I am having a good time rediscovering all my supplies that I forgot about and have come to the realization like many of you that I have too much stuff! I am also working on organizing photos and finishing unfinished projects... which are the main two goals of mine for 2017

Someone will use them! I use raw chipboard all the time, I bet kids would too at a local school etc. I hear your frustration in your post, and I just want to say that thousands of layouts is a fantastic accomplishment. I hope that those around you appreciate how amazing that is!

My craftiness so far this month has been CIJ themed items - cards, digital Christmas pages, but I've also been participating in the summer camp at the digital press and have created many other layouts some that were great stories to have told but weren't quite on my radar to tell yet.
For my Christmas card making, I took my boxes of Christmas supplies and some essentials to the coffee table (of course, I had to pull over some other surfaces to spread out on too). Yesterday, I finally cleaned the living room which meant everything just got piled on my craft desk. I'm hoping to move on to sewing today, but I'd like to spend a couple hours cleaning and putting away my things first. While pulling out Christmas stamps, I made a huge mess of my stamps and they need to be reorganized. They're the SU! wood mounted boxed sets. I wish I could wave a wand and make all of my stamps unmounted with cling foam.

I was on Facebook and saw a live post from the craft show and really liked WRMK new washi cutter. I don't need one for any reason but thought it was cool. It's a punch and you can decide various "ends" of your washi. I thought it was neat. I don't use washi very often so I didn't get one but I did like it!

I have several layout boards now instead of one big one. I broke up my card boards into SU stamp set boards. I also have been deleting pins that are dated looking or lead nowhere. Still have several boards to fix but I'm getting there.
