I have an unopened cup of plain greek yogurt dated Aug 23. "Still good" or "You will die a painful death"

It's fine. Yogurt is already fermented. There isn't an alarm that goes off exactly on the date making it toxic.

Wow? Really? No way no how! But I don't like yogurt anyway so I wouldn't have eaten it on July 23 either. No dairy past the due date.

No problem eating it - most dairy is good for about a week after the recommended date.

Totally fine. I've eaten yoghurt much much much past the best before date. Provided it doesn't smell off, and the lid isn't all puffy, I'll eat it.

I probably would - after it passed the sniff test.

Only a couple of days past the date...............I probably wouldn't even bother with the sniff test. I would just eat it. A week or so out, I give it the sniff test. If it smells fine, I eat it. I don't worry much about dates.

That's the sell-by date, not use-by. It's fine.

I'd eat it, after a sniff-test and looking for any mold/something growing on the surface.

I've eaten greek yogurt a month past the date on the container. If it looks, smells, and tastes fine I eat it. I don't think I've died yet.

As long as there isn't anything growing on it I might eat it ... but I'm one of those people that always says "No way!" on these types of threads

I'd eat it-- and I'm really fussy about dates on foods. A few days, though is no problem.

As long as it hasn't been opened, yogurt is usually good for many weeks after the best by date.
