I'm not sure if this sort of a thread exists already, or how useful it is for seasoned crafters, but maybe newbies like myself will find it interesting. I thought I'd list the newer products I've spotted at my local Michaels: 1. Chameleon pens: www.chameleonpens.com/about These are a newer type of alcohol marker that eliminate the need for multiple pens. I don't think they can actually replace copics, but the concept is very interesting! I saw 4/5 different sets (Skin tones, Warm tones, etc) and they're priced at $40 a set. The good thing is you can use a 50 off coupon. 2. Artist Loft Sketch Markers These are the Michaels brand alcohol markers, found in the fine arts section. They're now available open stock, for around $3.75 each, in lots of different colours. I can't find too many reviews online (if you've used them, please tell me what they're like!), but the price isn't too bad for experimentation, especially with coupons. 3. Spellbinders dies and embossing folders They finally have all the ones I saw in the US 2 months ago. Basic shapes and the word dies (that you can find rip-offs of on ebay and AliExpress. 4. Tim Holtz stamps and die sets They've got the crazy bird stamps and dies, as well as some cat and dog ones... sorry, I'm blanking on the exact ones that I saw. 5. Distress Oxide inks They have around 8 of the colours available I think, and they're priced at $8.99 each I believe. 6. Heidi Swapp cards There's a new line of card bases, envelopes and envelope liners by Heidi Swapp that you can customize. Includes new word stickers too. That's it for now! Will add more if I see anything else.

They make it look so easy and effortless.

Only the new colors at my Michael's. The first set of colors are $8.99...i guess they want to get as much money as possible for the "newer" colors.

Can verify this, except that the distress oxide inks are $11.99 in Alberta $11.99!! Wow. I was in Florida last month and saw them for $5.99 U.S. there - with the exchange that's about $7.8, plus their tax is only 6% (although you don't pay PST in Alberta, just 5% GST, right? We pay 13% HST in Ontario). Thanks midorica for the info - what a smart thread idea.
