Just recently, I have started using different size circles of photos...haven't done that in years. But I am really liking how versatile they are, especially on travel layouts. I can put a lot more photos of things of interest on a page. I had donated all my old circle pinches when we moved across country last year so of course, had to buy replacements when the circle urge hit! That and my sudden need to use magic mesh on almost every page forced me to find a lifetime supply of it on ebay once I realized it is no longer available. Scrapbooking is fun.

I haven't done this in a while, but when I did I used my Cricut. I did a test run with a scrap of paper. I removed the circle and put the photo in the empty space, then I cut it again.

We were on vacation this summer and the pool had a foam party. The suds were over your head in areas. I have 14 wallet sized photos to use for this layout and was wondering if circles were the answer.

I still have my Coluzzle, and I've been wanting to break it out for just such a purpose. Thanks for the inspiration!

I noticed lots of circles on those travel layouts grammadee recently linked. When I make a circle I still use my trusty Coluzzle. I love that thing! I am wary of cutting photos into circles again. If I do I will be very selective about what I cut. It looks nice and trendy on a page, but later when circles aren't so fun anymore, I have regretted just about every circle cut photo I ever did. Right now I am working with circle cut photos I did years ago and I am matting them on paper similar to the background color and making them square again.

I like to use circles as part of a page design if they add interest or help tell the story. Some of my recent pages with circles on them have been about bike riding and blowing bubbles. The circles could be cs or pp as matts, or small punched circles as elements like bubbles. I sometimes cut one or more photos in a circle as well. I often use my Creative Memories circles But I also have a set of TE stitched circle dies. For larger circles I use an EK Success curvy cutter. I like refugeepea's idea for using the Cricut, but I might cut the circle in the cs or pp I plan to use for my background, then just tuck the photo behind it so it shows though the hole.

I haven't done one in a while. Here's one I did last year. I think it's a fun change from the norm. My main issue with it is that it's hard for me to find photos that work well as circles. Most of my photos are rectangular and would cut out important pieces if made into circles.

I like circles for accent detail photos. A special dessert. A pretty flower. I can't bring myself to cut people into circles.

Golly - I haven't heard that word in awhile! I never did buy one, so I tend to forget about them. I love layouts with circles, but when I go to do them, personally it feels TOO CM-ish. I guess I got my circle workout from 1994-2000 and haven't looked back. I keep thinking I should try them again.... thracian, your layout is lovely. And it's exactly the kind of layout that makes me think I should try them again!
