When Two Peas, the non-refugee site closed, I ordered a couple of flairs. I haven't used them, they were sitting in a container with my other flair-ish items. Today I went to look through them, and they all have brown spots on the images, under the plastic covering.
I was wondering if anyone else had flair from Two Peas, and if yours also developed brown spots? Or if you actually used yours since Two Peas demise, you might check your layouts.
I will post a photo when I figure out how.

That's too bad. It's always sad to look through your scrapbooks and find that something hasn't stood the test of time. Makes me wonder about how other flair will age.

That problem is not unique just to Two Peas flair - there have been other posts mentioning the same problem.
I am guessing it is rust from the metal backs.

All flair can rust with time. Especially in a humid climate.

I saw Shimelle going through a big bowl of flair the other day on a video (I think a FBk live) and she had a bunch that had spotted/rusted too.

I've had that issue with some flair as well. Not all, but definitely some. Such a bummer.

I try to keep all metal out of my scrapbooks because I fear rust.

Yes, all of my flair did that. The two peas ones are the worst off but no brand has survived without rust.

I'm trying to remember if I ever used flair. I have a few pieces sitting in my stash but I never much liked it. Of course now I need to go through my albums and check. Thanks for the heads up.

I use flair occasionally but I keep it confined to pocket pages in hopes that any rust will be confined to that one packet if it happens. So far my flair is ok (mostly OA).

I'm toying with the idea of making my own. You can buy the epoxy toppers, for want of a better word, and I imagine that only paper or card underneath shouldn't rust. I have made a couple of great digital flairs, thought it might be nice to add dimension and print them.

I don't use a lot of flair because they tend to be thick but thanks for the heads up.

I saw Shimelle's video and her flair is so sad... a lot of rusted pieces. I haven't had that issue, but I don't store all of my flair together. Maybe that's the issue? I hate it when products don't last. $$ down the drain.

Wow! I ordered some of the Shimelle 2peas ones and they're fine.

No rust on Epoxy because there is no metal but I try to avoid epoxy because it yellows terribly with age.

As bad as it sounds I was relieved that she has the same issue because at least if a "professional" is having the same problem then I know it isn't just me doing something wrong. I don't store all of my flair together, it stays in the original packaging and still all of it is rusted.

chaosisapony really... even in its original packaging it's still ruined? Yikes. I'm going to pull out my flair tonight and inspect it...maybe I'm missing some smaller rust.

I had some OA ones in an unopened pack that were terribly rusted. Overall I've found the open back ones are rusting in my collection while the closed back ones seem to be in ok condition (so far at least).

Yes, I bought quite a bit of 2Peas flair when they closed and all have rust spots - haven’t figured out whether I will change them out as I don’t want to ruin an otherwise good layout. I’ve noticed some OA that has rusted (I keep all mine in drawers in a lucite unit) but the 2Peas are the worst. Some other brands have stood the test of time perfectly. I will be checking the backs of the unused ones to see if that is the issue. I thought it may be humidity in my craftroom but haven’t found anything else that has any signs.

Oh but then... I have one layout that has 3 pieces of coordinating flair. Two have rusted badly but the third - which is exactly like one of the others - has no rust at all. So what’s that about???

After going back thru all my flair, it is not the backing that decides it’s fate. In fact my open-backed ones do great, all my AC/BG/FP have no rust regardless if they are loose or still packaged. My 2P & OA has almost all rusted regardless of whether it’s on a layout or loose in the drawer with the others. Hmmm.... it’s discouraging.

A friend made some for me and all of those are fine. Ones I bought on Etsy & some OA are ok, too. 2 peas ones rusted, though. Another friend did a little investigating and her theory is that the adhesive matters. If wet glue was used and not dried completely, they’re more likely to rust.

I tossed all the rusty flair I had which was a LOT. I also ended up getting rid of all the other flair I had because it's just too bulky for what I like to create. I have some clear epoxy circles I bought from eBay and they have not yellowed over the years so far.

My October Afternoon flair rusted, which makes me sad because I did love it. I have a couple on layouts I can't figure out how to get off without tearing the layout, so they are just going to have to stay rusted on my page.
I hate, hate, hate epoxy. I can't believe they still sell it. It doesn't last more than a year or two before it yellows.
I just read in another thread that Doodlebug sprinkles turn yellow. I haven't had that happen yet but I'm keeping an eye on it.
My vellum tape has turned yellow, too, so I can see it.
I've had to go back and glue a lot of chipboard (like Thickers) on when the adhesive failed. Now I always use my own glue to attach chipboard.
I hate when they make scrapbook products that don't last.

That's happened to me on all the flair I bought. I think I had some from 2 Peas, some from Kelly Purkey, and various Etsy sellers. Every single one is rusted and gross.

Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. A bunch of mine has rusted too. I need to just give up and toss what's left. I haven't put any on a page in a least 2 years.
