I'm terrible at impulse buying. I just bought the Tim holtz stamp platform and the new oxide inks at just bee creative. Both of these are on sale there and they are actually shipping not a preorder. I had no intention of buying these. Gezzz what's wrong with me? I already have a misti that works just fine and those oxide inks. I really haven't used them much. I guess the stamp misti will be a back up.

The acrylic on the Misti is known to crack with normal use (time can vary) whereas the Platform was made to withstand heavy pressing without cracking. Not sure on what will happen a year or two from now (but the Stamp Platform is more likely to have adequate backing from the company...so if it breaks, they'll replace it...the Misti...she just wants you to buy a new one and doesn't care about long term quality) so consider them both usable, but I'd expect the Misti to break sooner rather than later.

Sounds like you made a good decision to me. I think you will really enjoy them both. Consider them luxury items -- you deserve it!

Well I have been going through my stuff, organizing, tossing etc, and decided I have enough paper to last 10 years and I should not buy anymore. Guess what is on it's way and should be here tomorrow? Yep, more paper! Too good of a deal to pass up. It's a sickness

I have the Stampoholic that I use and love. But in all the excitement for the Tonic/TH SP, I ordered one. Funny how that happens.

A scrapper that impulse buys cool stuff??? Gee I never do that. Hahahaha Like GiantsFan I have the Stampoholic and I'll be buying the TH platform in the very near future. I like that the front panel can be flipped for different stamp widths. Plus they stood up to MSP and marketed a better product. Win/win in my opinion.

I have an original misti and it is cracking badly and I have been VERY careful with it. I cannot wait for my Tim holtz one and the fact that I can now use larger pieces of paper with it . I looked at upgrading to the 12x12 misti...but then Tim came to the rescue with a MUCH more affordable and better made version

Enjoy! The distress oxides are a lot of fun to play with! I don't have a stamping platform, so I know nothing about that

I know myself. I know that when I decide that I have enough, it just makes me want more. So I don't pretend to say I will not buy anymore. I tend to overbuy vacation supplies. I make 2- 50 page books and usually buy enough for double that.
