My parents are on their summer trip to the UP of Michigan, and my dad took my mom into the small hospital overnight. She is having appendicitis, and they transferred her to a bigger hospital for surgery. It's supposed to be this afternoon. It just sucks because she's 9 hours away from me. I know this is a routine type surgery, but still, I wish I could get there in time. Send all good thoughts her way please! UPDATE surgery went well, the appendix wasn't as inflamed as originally thought. She will spend one night in the hospital, and can go home to the motor home tomorrow  so relieved. It sucks that she's not home for it, but at least they're in a motor home and not a hotel. |
