We're moving, and I just packed up my shoes. I easily have 60-70 pairs of shoes, boots, booties, sandals, wedges, and flip-flops. I'm slightly embarrassed. Please tell me I'm not the only one!!

Do you wear them all, or have a conceivable occasion on which you will?
I don't have very many shoes, but they're not my thing.

I have 14 pair - including the 2 pair in my car trunk that I keep for work when I go to icky places. They are old and I can just throw them out.
So 12 active pair

I don't have that many, but I have a lot. I've recently purged some. I've decided I'm at a point in my life where I'm no longer going to hold on to uncomfortable shoes just because they are cute. I've been more thoughtful in my purchases and try to buy as replacements and not additions to my collection.

I may have 20 if you include flip flops. I find 60-70 excessive for me. In all honesty though I'm severely lacking any fashion sense.

I didn't have anywhere near that many, but after I stopped working, I realized I had way more than I was ever going to need again. Fortunately, there was a shoe collection to benefit dogs going on and I heard about it through my pet store. I bagged up all of the heels, save one single black pair, and also tossed in some of the flats and flip flops that I had purchased without thinking about anything other than they were cute. How many pairs of black sandals does one person need anyway? It felt really good to get rid of them, and knowing they were helping out shelter dogs was the icing. Look for someplace to donate them and try to cut your stash down. You will feel better. Unless you truly do wear them all regularly. I had some that I hadn't even worn yet, so they needed to go.

I might have 20 pair now. A few years ago our church was doing a "Soles for Souls" drive and I was shocked at how many I passed along. I own perhaps 2 pair of heels now. Being retired moved a lot of shoes out of my closet.

You are not the only one. I have at least that many if you count shoes, boots, sandals, sneakers, etc. Shoes always fit and certain styles are classics so yup I validate you.

I think I only have about 25. And I need a good purge. I'm comfy, not fashionable. And while I know it's possible to be both at the same time, the skill eludes me.

I probably have less than fifteen. I like shoes, but I'm cheap and practical. I mostly stick with black and brown and one pair of sneakers.

I will admit to having more than that. I've always loved shoes - and I've always had big feet so if I find shoes I like, in my size, that feel and look good, I have a tendency to buy them. Even better if they are on sale.
I have pairs I wear more often than others, and I have some I don't wear as often because needs and situations change. I don't like to wear the same pair every day or even two days in a row; gives them a chance to air out. And I change up the heel height too, depending on what pants I'm wearing.
I acquired more Uggs - boots and shoes - when I was in classrooms in a building with an old creaky boiler system for heat; I hate having cold feet and there were years when I wore Uggs or Bare Traps to school every day in cold weather, simply to keep my feet warm. For the last couple years I've been in rooms with better climate control, so don't wear them all the time in winter, but I'm not getting rid of them simply because I don't wear each pair quite as often.
I have more than one pair, for example, of black sandals. I have flip flops, flat ones, walking ones, dressy, wedge, etc. Which ones I wear depends on the occasion and what's comfortable or appropriate. I may not even wear sandals as much as I used to, but I'm prepared for most any possibility.
I will say that it's time for another purge. I need to check which ones are looking worn and also get rid of the ones I know I won't wear again for whatever reason. I'll still have more than anyone "needs" but shoes are my thing, and always have been.

I have about that number at a rough guess. But there's no such thing as too many 😛

I have 40 pairs. But I have a rule, if I buy a new pair, I have to toss and old pair because I literally have no more room in my shoe closet.

If you count all types of footwear (cowboy boots, hiking boots, water shoes, sneakers, golf shoes, etc) I have less than 25 pairs.

Before I had back surgery about 15 years ago I had well over 100 pair of shoes. I love shoes. Some are actual works of art and I still drool over gorgeous shoes on Pinterest. Now I can't wear any shoes with a heel over 1.5 inches and without good arch support - love Danskos. Now I'm probably down to about 20 pair I rotate depending on the season. So sad. 😢

I am sitting here wondering if I have had 70 pairs of shoes in my lifetime. (I am in my mid-50's)

Shame on you. Wash your mouth out w/soap, young lady. There is no such thing as too many shoes or too many purses.

I used to have 20 different pairs of sperry boat shoes. . My mantra was home is where your shoes are. I have definitely downsized and probably have about 50 pair of shoes (all included). I need to get rid of about 10 pairs of nice sandals. I could wear them at my old job, but apparently showing toes is not okay in the current office job. And the fact that I work from home most days means no shoes (or bra, or pants, or whatever until about 11 o'clock).

I wouldn't know where to keep 60 pair of shoes. When I worked in an office, I probably had maybe a dozen pair of heels, plus casual shoes/sandals and boots for the winter. So, maybe 20-25 in total. Now I wear one or two pair of Crocs for working around the house, and have about 5 pair of sandals and one pair of sneakers & two pair of winter boots. I would go barefoot all the time if I could. but need to wear shoes most of the time. [darn]

That's not that many! I know I have more. Much more. I am evaluating my shoe collection and upgrading to more shoes that are quality AND comfortable.

I don't consider myself a "shoe girl", but I probably have 30-40 pairs. I don't think 60-70 is excessive.

I have quite a few......shoes, sandals, boots, booties, gym shoes.........I don't know how many and I don't want to know.
I have some sitting in our bedroom now I can't wear. I've only worn them a couple of times. I had toe surgery and now they don't fit. Booties in navy, and brown and some sandals. My thought is for the nicer ones to go to eBay, but I don't know!

I have very few shoes because I have a problem foot and I hate shopping. Just for fun I went to check my closet: -- 2 pairs of flip flops (Crocs) -- 1 current pair Crocs clogs (the ugly kind, lol) -- 1 new Crocs clogs to have when the active pair wears out -- 2 pair of sandals -- 1 pair black clog-type for work -- 1 pair athletic shoes -- 1 new pair athletic shoes because my current ones are about to be too worn out and I saw these on sale so I bought them -- 1 pair winter snow boots for when it's wet and icky -- 1 pair fake Uggs for winter when it's not wet
So not counting the two "spare" pairs (the new Crocs and the new athletic shoes) which I'm not wearing right now I have 9 pairs of shoes, two of which are specifically for winter. lolol
Yeah, I'm probably weird like that.

Do you like your shoes and can you find a place to store them in your home? Then you don't have too many. I am not a shoe girl and have only 8 pairs of shoes, 3 work/2 athletic/1 boots/1 sandals/1 winter, but I think you should have what's right for you.
