Hi ladies, So I'm heading to Vegas next month for my 20 year anniversary. I looked up all the scrapbook stores there, and surprisingly there was a lot that came up. We will be staying at the end of the strip near the Stratosphere. Anyone have any advice on the stores that are relatively close by that I should go to? I will not have a car so we are relying on taxis and shuttles. Although, I would be open to renting a car so I can travel to these stores I saw that stamp store, holy guacamole that's a lot of stamps. So tell me where I need to go and what's sort of near the strip. Thanks so much!!!!

I'm not familiar with where the stores are but I do know that the Stratosphere is way way at the end of the strip if I remember correctly hope you get to check out the stores and buy lots lol.
When I was there I think I went to a Michaels and thought we found a Joanne but it was closed down I was bummed lol.

I don't think Blick's has much in the way of scrapbooking supplies. They are mainly an art store. They do have a few stationery items, but I wouldn't make it a priority to go for only scrapbook shopping. They are located about halfway between the Stratosphere and Downtown. I once considered taking Uber there, but I realized that I have the same store here so I didn't go.
I think Viva Las Vegastamps is pretty close to the Stratosphere, but the area is a bit sketchy. I wouldn't walk there, but it is probably a cheap Uber ride from the Stratosphere. I've never been there, but I know that they have been in business for a long time and the owners are very nice.
There is nothing else really within walking distance of the Strip.
Have fun!

I don't know all of these places, but I will try my best to mark the ones I do! ScrapbooksRUs 2290 E Flamingo Rd. East of the Strip from the Flamingo hotel...lol...this hotel is south of the StratosphereJoAnn Fabrics 2160 N Rainbow Blvd Wayyyyyy away from the strip. This is not a terrible drive from the Stratosphere, but you have to drive through all of the major construction to get there...I do not suggest going during morning rush hour or from 3-6pmCreative Paperworks 7118 Spindle Berry The Paper Bunny 6811 S Eastern Ave This store is directly to the south of the airport (not Strip/west side, but rather East...not close to the Stratosphere, but pretty close to the Welcome to Vegas sign/start of the official Strip hotels like Mandalay Bay and the TropicanaViva Las Vegastamps 1008 E Sahara AVe This is the HUGE store I mentioned above, check out their website Blick Art Materials 6300 West Charleston Blvd This store is en route to the Joann's on Rainbow...you'd take the same freeway...the 515 west bound, just get off on Jones which is just past all of the construction and well before you'd hit Joann's...probably not too far out of the wayMichaels 7321 W Lake Mead Blvd This store is probably the ABSOLUTE furthest drive and probably not worth your time because...Michaels 1251 S Decatur Blvd ...this Michael's is probably much closer to you...you'd take Decatur as your exit from the 515 freeway and head south (it's the exit right before Jones that would take you to Blick'sThe Purple Monkey 11 S Water St, Henderson NV Hobby lobby 4955 S Fort Apache Rd, Vegas Absolutely nowhere near the strip but there is one directly across the street from the Joann's on Rainbow, you can't miss it as it's butts up to the freeway...if you see it from the freeway, you've missed your exit as the building is just after the Lake Mead/Rainbow combination exit...you want to take THIS exit rather than the one marked JUST Rainbow...it's a few miles too far south of where you want to go...Michaels 9881 S Eastern AVe Nowhere near the stripThere are a few stores NOT listed here. In Henderson, not near the strip but convenient, there is a shopping center (surrounds the Galleria Mall for reference) that has a Michael's (on Stephanie/Sunset), a Hobby Lobby (across the street but the same Stephanie/Sunset cross streets) AND a Joann's (Marks/Sunset...if you take the 515 to get there, Joann's is the first of the three you will see). There is also a good Tuesday Morning (my Tuesday Morning, lol) directly across from Michael's. Basically...the Galleria Mall is in the middle. Directly to the East of it is Joann's, directly across the street to the South is Tuesday Morning (butts up to Sunset Station) and Southwest from the mall is Michael's and directly to the West is Hobby Lobby. If you want to hit up a bunch at once, this would be the game plan that I would pursue...because they're all within 1-2 lights and under a mile apart... they are something like 5 minutes from my house and that's what I often do.

This is the group I normally go to when I visit Vegas simply because they are so close to each other. I usually have a hire car so the distance to get there from the strip is not a problem. I've been to the Paper Bunny just after she opened. The store was clean and bright and stock was well displayed. She didn't have a massive range of collections but as someone who no longer has an LSS I enjoyed seeing things in person (and of course bought some things I hadn't considered in my online only shopping).
