Central Mortgage or Arvast Mortgage? And if so, did you get a letter from them in the past week. If it wasn't specifically related to your mortgage, what was it about? I suspect maybe that they have sold off mortgages again.
The long part of the story is that our mail service is TERRIBLE so I signed up for the service they have that shows you a scan of all of the mail that you are supposed to receive (Informed Delivery). Unfortunately, knowing what you are supposed to receive only causes anxiety when you don't actually receive it. History has told me that when it doesn't get delivered on the day it is supposed to come, it doesn't show up.
A few days ago, we were supposed to get a letter from Central Mortgage (our previous lender) and Arvast Mortgage (who they sold the mortgage to about a year ago). Neither of these, of course, showed up in my mailbox. Since mail gets put in the wrong mailbox frequently (neighbors are very good about putting in the right mailbox), I contacted the neighbor who is gathering the mail for our next door neighbor who is out of town. It turns out that while they didn't have MY letters, they also had a letter from Arvast, so I suspect that it's not something related specifically to our mortgage, although it could be because we are all having roofs replaced due to hail damage and if you have a mortgage, they get involved.
Anyway, I know I can call Central Mortgage and Arvast and try to find out what the letters were about, but history has also told me that trying to explain to someone how you know you have a letter that was supposed to arrive but you don't know what it was about is an exercise in frustration (I had to do this with a jury duty notice that didn't arrive and I swear to God that the clerk was about to send the sheriff after me for trying to ditch jury duty).

When you call just mention that you talked to a neighbor and they got a letter but you didn't. Have you ever considered getting a PO Box? I would be so frustrated and upset if my mail was continually messed up.

I work for a mortgage servicer, although neither of these companies. If the letter was a solicitation for some service like bi-weekly payment plan (something often handled by a third party) then the servicing center probably won't have record of it, but if it's important (servicing transfer, delinquency notice, etc) then they have to keep record of it and the customer service representative should be able to access that history. Just call them and say, "Please review the history of all the letters sent to me in the last xx weeks and detail for me what they were as I believe I did not receive one or more." They should also be keeping images of the letters, so if one or more is missing then see of they can reprint then and email them to you.

I would be so frustrated and upset if my mail was continually messed up. I've considered it, but the mail service in the entire town is this way so a PO Box isn't going to resolve it. I'm just going to have to get in my car and drive somewhere just to find out I didn't get all of my mail. It's not like it's being stolen or something else. It just never shows up or stuff gets "returned to sender" for no reason at all. While it has gotten delivered to the wrong neighbor, that usually isn't the issue. It's more that it just never shows up. I'm pretty sure that I saw that our town has the worst mail delivery in the country. You wouldn't even believe what we've been through with it.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't a solicitation since it came from both mortgage companies and it looked pretty official. I'll try using that language when I call. I just know that when I called the clerk's office she simply couldn't understand how I knew something was coming but didn't know my juror number or date that I had to appear or where the notice went. We went around and around in circles.

It could be the annual privacy notices. if you have on line access to your mortgage account check it and see if there is any reference to any correspondence recently sent to you. Mine will show extra notices that were sent.

We have the same mail service problems where I live burningfeather. I routinely get the mail of my neighbors and never receive my own.
