Got the latest Joann flyer in the mail today. There is a little blurb saying you can now "buy online, pick-up in store". Also says that you can return online orders in store for free. Did anyone else know about this? Has anyone used it?

No, I haven't used it but it sounds like something I might like to do with online ordering.

Head up, if you use Paypal to make your purchase, they will only give you a gift card back on your return in the store. They don't have the ability to credit Paypal from a register.

Yeah, I've done the buy online pick up in store when I was going to visit my sister in a town where they had a bigger JoAnns and a sale that was ending before I could go down there. It worked out well. You have three days to pick up the stuff you bought. You can only do the buy online pick up in store with items the store already has in stock though. I do like that we can return online stuff to stores now too, I always think that's a nice feature. It makes me feel like the risk factor is less since if an item doesn't work, I won't have to pay return shipping.

I bought an item that I need to pick up. I didn't know about the 3 day rule and they called me while I was out f town. They are now holding it until tomorrow.

I have seen this before, but usually when I buy from J on line, I buy when the shipping is free or very, very low. I save time, gas money, and impulse buying. So it would defeat the purpose by me picking up myself especially when other things I have purchased are online only and have to be shipped. ETA: And I don't trust them to select the item that is in the most pristine condition/packaging. Yes, I am picky about that.

I asked today and the clerk at Joann's told me that you could order anything online and it would be shipped to the store for pickup. Hmmmm...

Usually you can only buy things online that they sell in store. I've never been able to add anything that says online only to store pick up.

A couple of days ago I picked up an order of Becky Higgins stone wrap that is on clearance now. It was a pretty painless process.
