They had a sneak peek on facebook today. Saw some new Halloween papers and embellishments. Friday they will show everything.
Let's all pray the papers get to the stores BEFORE halloween. This halloween. LOL

It amazes me that they are still in business. I mean, their product is awesome, but they never seem to be able to release it on time. Other companies are able to do so, so why not OA?

They've been constantly unloading their inventory on the daily deal sites as of late, and my guess about Friday's surprise on their blog is a warehouse box. I know we've been predicting the end for a while now, but it really feels like it could be coming. If so, I'll be a very sad camper, as they are far and away my favorite manufacturer.  (I hope I'm wrong!) |

October Afternoon is the one company I *want* to get picked up by American Crafts... just so we get some consistent product lines and release dates! I HATE that they are constantly delayed, give "spoilers" with incorrect release dates, and hardly any new product in ages.

If the image is the same one as posted on the company blog, it contains existing OA products. So, it's probably teasing an end-of-the-summer blog hop or warehouse box. Given the Daily Flash Summertime line was quietly removed from the website earlier this year, Treasure Map is still not available, recently-released OA collections are appearing on discount sites, no new lines were introduced, & the last "mystery" posts on the OA blog referred to the (short-lived) partnership with Webster's Pages, I also wouldn't be surprised if OA announces another partnership or buy out - perhaps American Crafts or Studio Calico? We'll see...

OK, so the big news on their blog today is a new design team and hints at exciting changes to come. The design team looks fantastic, so that's terrific. I'm just not sure what to make of what might be coming. Let's hope it's all good news and actually comes to fruition.

I don't get how a grid of pictures of different paper was a clue that they had a new design team? The old design team still hasn't used any of that treasure hunting line so I'm guessing it is still a long way from being in my hands.

I'm still hoping they do a warehouse sale, even though I have NO self control there! Ha ha, I can relate! I went a couple of years ago with a friend when it was crazy cold outside and people were waiting in line for like two hours or more to get in. I was glad I wore a jacket, but wished I would have grabbed a warmer one and a scarf! Some of the ladies waiting in line must have come right from work and had on thin blouses with no sweater or dress shoes and no socks and they were FREEZING out there. Brrr! Let's just say I had to make it worth my while to stand in line so long once I finally got in there! Last year I got there early and still had to wait in line forever to get in. It's just nuts. |
