I'm in the market for a new car, too. I'm looking for a four-door, mid-sized sedan and I was considering the Honda Accord hybrid and the Hyundai Sonata hybrid. After test driving them both, I liked the Accord better, but I had second thoughts about getting a hybrid at all. (long story: cost of vehicle vs. environmental "cost" of the battery) Also, the 2017 Accord hybrids are great, but owners hate that there isn't a volume button for the sound system, you have to hold a finger on the display screen. The hybrids available on the lots locally are very picked over and not in any of the colors I'd prefer. The 2018 hybrids are being remodeled and are adding the sound system volume knob back in. The down side is that the 2018s aren't expected to appear until December. In the meantime, I'd like to get a new car sooner rather than later so I don't have to put any more money into my current car - a 2003 Murano. SO - I thought maybe I'll get a non-hybrid, but do I start over from square one? I plan on driving my new car at least ten years. Over the weekend I told my son that instead of a financial or life-coach I needed a new-car coach. Ugh.
Are you my long lost Pea sister? This sounds so much like me. I think we might be related!!! Glad to hear I'm not the only one out here!

No, you are not the only one. I'm still driving my 1998 Honda Civic with 245,000 miles that I've had for 19 years this month. I just can't make a decision and pull the trigger on a new car.

I have an older fit and my husband has a new civic. I believe the rear camera on the fit is on the console, not in the mirror. That is how the civic is. I would highly suggest either of these Hondas, though the civic is a little more 'hefty '- you don't hear the outside noise as much. My fit is a 2009 and i have only had to replace the tires, everything else is in great condition.

I don't think you'll go wrong with either car, but since you have a Toyota dealer nearby and no local Honda dealer, I'd go with Toyota.
