Glastonbury is a big music festival here in the UK and I have to say I have never been tempted to go to a music event that involves overnight camping. Attaching a link so you see the size of the event, over 200,000 people. I like music and concerts, seen some big names, Queen, U2 etc but the idea of a weekend festival just doesn't appeal. You? Pics of Glastonbury

They show parts of it on one of our tv stations (Palladium maybe? Or ovation? I can't remember) and I always think that I want to go. I am old though, and have to pee every 10 minutes, so my idea of camping has changed radically-like to a hotel with a good view. LOL
But oh yes, in my younger days? If I could have figured out a way to get there? I would have SO done it!

I've done the ones here in MN with thousands, but I was much younger. I was going to say that I'd never do it now. But I remembered that DH and I leave next Weds for 5 days motorcycle camping with 24 hour music. So I guess I still do it. Camping, motorcycles, music and the best people watching ever!

No, just no! When I was on my twenties, most of my friends went to the Roskilde festival in Denmark, some of them more than once, but I was never tempted to do it. Even though I love concerts, I hate camping with a passion, so there is no way I'm going to a festival.

Yes! I've been to Coachella a couple of times. I had to look it up, but it seems they get the same attendance numbers as Glastonbury. I've never gone the camping route, though. We've always gotten a hotel room for the weekend, in the vicinity of Indio, CA (where Coachella is held). It's been a few years since I've been and would definitely go again.

I've done the whole festival thing in the past, but it doesn't appeal to me these days - especially having seen some of the photos from Glastonbury over the last couple of days. It seems hygiene and Glastonbury aren't compatible! I did see some pics of some VIP tent things you could hire for a ridiculous amount of money, though. That might get me there!
