I took a personal day to get the house in order before our out of state relatives get here tomorrow. I should be cleaning!
So, how are you doing? I have not had a soda since July 15th. I am so proud of myself.
Currently.... drinking mostly water with an occasional tea no longer need ice in my water craving a styrofoam cup and straw every once in a while lost the puffiness in my face no more eye twitches

I'm still here and hanging in there. I have had one soda when I was guest in someone's home and that's what was offered. I had no ill effects and it did not trigger any cravings, so that's good. On a daily basis, I drink water and iced tea. I'd like to cut back on the amount of iced tea I drink though, but for now, I'm letting myself be. I haven't noticed any lasting effects from quitting. DD says I look less bloated (thanks I think?). I have no plans to go back to regular soda drinking but if in the future I decided to have one again, I think I'll be okay. This was such a great think we all did!

I'm on day 15. Still having slight headaches, but nothing like it was the first 10 days. I still feel tired and sluggish, but I'm hoping that will go away soon as well. I'm really not craving it, which is shocking to me. When I was drinking it, I craved it all day. Now if I could just get rid of these side effects and start seeing the positive effects of giving it up!

I'm in week 7. Doing great! No headaches, no cravings (other than wanting to stop when I'm out running around. Not craving the coke itself, just the act of stopping and having something to drink while out and about.) I'm drinking mostly water, tea sometimes when out to eat, an occasional La Croix (usually about 4 oz) and a Diet Cranberry Limeade once every 2-3 weeks. I do have to say that I am quite disappointed that it hasn't seemed to have any affect on dropping my BP like my Dr. Seemed to think it would, no extra energy and I have also not had any additional weight loss. That's a bummer because I really thought I would see more physical results. The good thing is, I'll be healthier in the long run.

So weird. I can't believe that it was as easy as it was for me to give up. The other thing that bums me out is that it hasn't stopped my craving of sweets. I don't crave the DRINK at ALL, but I still have to have my sweets. UGH Thanks for the sweet tooth, dad.

You ladies are kicking butt. You are an inspiration. I'd been doing pretty good then I had a big cola and have had a three day headache. I hope it isn't like starting all over. Ugh.

Wow, everyone is doing so great! I am still doing good. When I want the fizz, I drink either a sparking water or a flavored seltzer. I have my crystal light and ice water and I am good all day. I am down 17 pounds, and treated myself to highlights before I go back to work next week. I feel 100% better than I did before. It is partly due to the soda and partly to the fact I started exercising again.
Congratulations to everyone for sticking with it!
