I didn't realize that the terra-cotta soldiers weren't viewable. For some reason I thought a portion of them was open to tourists.
Forbidden Places
Who else thought of Robert Langdon when the Batican archives were listed. Lol

A few of them came to London some years ago, and they were absolutely amazing and viewable at touching distance.
They are coming to Liverpool next year. I might go again.

I can attest that Area 51 really is as secret as they say it is.

There was a scale model of the forbidden city and terra cotta warriors west of town for years. They had to close it when the new outer-outer loop started construction and they sold off the items. I got some of them:

We had friends see this only 3 weeks ago - definitely open. We saw them on our trip to China 3 years ago. This was my favorite attraction - loved it!

There is a store they took us to before seeing the warriors where you could buy clay statues and they showed the technique they used to make them. It was very cool!

They had a full scale set of them with horses but there was no way I could afford, transport or store them. Still, would have been cool to have them.

There was an exhibition here a few years ago and I saw some of the warriors then. I'd love to go to the site in China.
