Here are the newest colors. They arrived this week. I love the brighter colors. They are so much more vibrant in person. Love them. Who else got the newest colors?

I just ordered a few new ones - Seedless Preserves, Twisted Citron, Abandoned Coral, Antique Linen - which should arrive today. I'm pacing myself! Thanks for showing your color samples.
I'm going to have to add the black next, after seeing how nicely it layers to create a night sky.

I have the first set, but plan on picking up a few colors from this set, especially that plum color. I haven't played with them as much as I'd like to. I tried some on kraft paper, and they were a little lighter than I would like.

I got them a couple weeks ago. They're not even unwrapped yet. I have a bunch of the originals still in the wrappers too. I don't know what I'm waiting for.

Mine arrive on Tuesday. I ended up with 2 sets, so I'll be posting one discounted on FSoT when they get here.

I have seen a video or two on them, but was wondering if any of you had seen a video that sold you on purchasing them. I am on the fence.

Patter, where did you buy these from? Were they all sold together or separately? I am wanting to buy some, but I am trying to resist.

I will second the Jennifer McGuire videos, and tell you there is nothing not to love about these inks -you can do just about anything with them, and the creaminess and blend ability are fabulous, yet you can stamp a crisp image with them as well.

I was only going to get 10 of them, but now after seeing yours stamped out and swatched, I think I am going to need all of them!

I tried some on kraft paper, and they were a little lighter than I would like. Have you tried spritzing them with water? I remember seeing a video of Tim Holtz stamping on kraft and it was kind of *meh, and then he spritzed them and they really came alive. I think it was a very fine spray he used.

I need them all. These are the colors I wish he had started with. Not that I'm likely to get rid of the original colors or anything - from what I've seen they'll go wonderfully with the new ones. I'm trying to be patient and wait for a good price. I don't really need them urgently. But I want them. Every time I use the original set I wish I had already ordered the new ones. Have fun playing with them

I'll order the second set when Joann's.com gets them in stock. I just bought 11 of the colors for 36.00 shipped. They should be here tomorrow. I sold all my distress inks and reinkers so I could replace them with the oxide ones. I think I will get more stamping use out of them. I didn't like the ink pads on the distress inks.

The part that sold me was the Nuvo drops on them. So pretty.

I've been thinking about doing this, especially since some of the colours I most like are in the second release. Patter thanks for sharing your sample cards - I love getting to see the colours in action although your cards inevitably make me want to purchase more of the colours.

I ordered a bunch on the Joann special yesterday, too, but I also bought an embarrassing ton of regular Distress Mini sets (I have only 2 Distress pads, and I got a bee in my bonnet...) - maybe I should have waited for the new Oxide pads and a sale? I was thinking the regular Distress inks have a bit bolder color than the same ink in Oxide. At least, that's how it looks on YouTube. *groan*

I hear a lot of people prefer the smaller size distress inks. I may purchase those down the road with coupons from my Hobby Lobby. I really liked the colors for edging, just not for stamping. I'm thinking the oxide inks will be better suited for stamping.

If anyone's interested, I just posted in FSOT, I have a complete Set 2 Oxides for sale. I'm asking what I paid for them, $57+postage for the set ($4.75 ea.). They're brand new, never opened, I just got shipped/billed an extra set, and reselling them seems easier than dealing with the return.
