I have a few pictures of my DS and his girlfriend I want to scrap. The two of them are quite alternative. Dyed hair, wear all black. That kind of thing. I am shopping for products and I am just not finding anything that would be good for scrapping him. My four other children are girls so easier to scrap with pretty things. Any product recommendations?

These aren't perfect, may have an item or 2 that could mix in, but some ideas:
Pinkfresh, BoysFort Pinkfresh, Escape the Ordinary Cosmo Cricket, The Boyfriend (super old line, not alternative but middle-school teen boy-ish)

Swagger- Fancy Pants Gen Z - LYB Archaic and Periphery Basic Grey So Rad Simple Stories 24/7 Simple Stories
Some of these are older lines and might be hard to find, but I looked through my stash for lines that said guy to me. There is also Rock Star from DCWV, but that might be too much. I have used it several times though.

Any product recommendations? What about hunting for some of the more vintage Halloween lines? I mean, skipping past the googly-eyed cartoon bats and going for like haunted houses, peeling Victorian wallpaper, velvet type textures, that sort of thing? The first brand that came to mind was Prima, but Kaisercraft has a bunch of interesting lines that I mentally think of as industrial/steampunk - lots of metal siding, concrete, rusty panels, etc. Or maybe it would be a good opportunity to skip mainstream lines and do more abstract mixed media things -- how about stencil paste on black backgrounds, with white and black stamped embellishments? Be pretty striking and go with the photos. A lot of the "boy" lines are too retro-cutesy to be usable for what sound like goth kids. Speaking as a former goth kid, anyway! It actually sounds like an interesting challenge.

Maybe I will set these pictures aside for a little while. Scrapbook other photos and get back up to speed. Then return to these photos when I feel more confident and creative.

you could just keep it really simple--i would use white paper, the photos, and then some brads and maybe stitching in black. i like simple though

Those look really good for guys. I found one of his pads and used quite a bit for a HP book awhile back.

I may or may not have recently purchased all of those 2 pinkfresh lines......!

Tim Holtz stuff Graphic 45 My Minds Eye Halloween lines - they have a lot of patterns/items that aren't overly Halloween themed that could work great.

Just saw Freestyle by Photoplay and thought of this list, mixable with Boys Fort and Escape the Ordinary (probably others mentioned above too) to make your own little "kit".

I just bought two of those paper sets with the embellishments last week. Perfect for boys. I also think that a lot of the outdoor lines that many companies have put out have a male vibe to them even if you don't use the obvious camping/lake side of the papers. The colors and patterns of the B sides scream testosterone.

There is an older line by Bo Bunny called Mamma-razzi. The first collection is blues, blacks, and grays. Really grungy and would be great for a teen boy.

I like Bella Blvd "Alex" Lots of blue and black. Some electronics icons. Don't know if it will work for you, but looks like it is on sale.

And check Tuesday Morning--they carry older stuff and maybe you'll get lucky and find a paper pad that could work.
