I was out of the country last week and only caught bits & pieces of what went down in Charlottesville as it was happening. This definitely filled in a few blanks for me. 

ETA I'd love to see Trump watch this with the Kushners and explain his "some were fine people" assessment of the Friday night torch walk.

Just watched nazi coward sniveling like a baby. So who's the snowflake? He threatened that more people will die and then goes into a complete meltdown cause there's a warrant out for his arrest. Unbelievable.

Elle Reeve, the reporter on the video was just interviewed on MSNBC. A few of her points, the Alt-right will be ''rebranding'' focusing on aesthetics, looking like clean-cut, intellectual college students. Though social media they can raise $100,000 overnight. They will be dropping the swastikas and weeding out the ''white trash'' in order to appear main-stream. One had texted her last night and he was absolutely further emboldened by Trump's press conference.

Chilling.

My daughter and I watched this earlier. Makes me nauseous to know that people like this really exist. So glad this was filmed. I know too many people who want to pretend this isn't happening.

That is truly terrifying. The goal of white supremacists and Nazis is to rid USA of all people who do not share their warped views.

They are going to continue to kill lgbtq, jews, blacks, and all others unlike them until they are stopped or until they are a majority in the USA.

That is why it is so appalling & dangerous that our president did not immediately & unequivocally denounce what they have done & what they stand for.

I feel nauseous...

I really don't understand how they equate 'peaceful protest' and his sniveling, crying self saying, "but we tried to follow all the rules, man" or his whiny "we're NOT violent" with the other statements like "we're trying to clear "them" from our streets and take our country back."  (and take it back from who, exactly?  Technically speaking, unless you're Native American, you came here from somewhere else, too-- it's not "your" country, it belongs to "ALL OF US."  I don't know the words byheart, but I'm pretty sure there isn't anything the Founding Fathers wrote that specifically limits it to whites only.  Unless I missed hearing that lecture in my middle school history class...?)

I mean,really-  how do they suggest that they're going to do that, if not with violence?  How do they THINK a torch-bearing crowd is going to be perceived by the public, besides with possible / probable violent intent?!?  (okay, they were Tiki torches, but still- torches.)  If they're trying to 'take their country back' through peaceful means, then they should be writing to their congressmen, not marching and carrying Nazi flags.  So I don't believe their 'non-violent, peaceful' crap for a minute.  Especially since he talked specifically about arming himself and working out at the gym in HOPES of needing to use those skills.

That video made me sick to my stomach and there are people out there defending this garbage of a human being......it's just  unbelievable 

This makes interesting reading  as to how they recruit their followers and yes, you've hit the nail right on the head that they look " like the boy next door" It was published two months ago and interestingly Matt Heimbach who was featured in the video elaine posted was banned from entering the UK in 2015 LINK

I don't know how well that look is going to work for them because they just reminded of the Hitler Youth with their clean cut matchy look.

I'm an emotional eater. I just mainlined 10 Nutter Butters only because it's unacceptable for me to binge drink at lunch.

Wow, such ugliness, hate and evil. She's a brave woman. I was scared for her when she got in that van. And those terror, fear and shock of those from the car attack made me cry.
