I spent some time today scanning photos from DH's side of the family, but I could only get so far with my project. All the prints in the box are scanned in, but I discovered that most of the box was full of slides and negatives.
Have you shopped for a scanner for slides and negatives lately? What did you finally purchase, and why?

I've been wanting to get one, too, but haven't been able to decide on one. Quality and resolution seems to be all over the place, and I've read of ton of reviews and photographer recommendations, but I haven't able to commit yet.

Check with your local library. Here in Colorado Springs there are many libraries in our county, but the newest one has a lot of "techie" stuff that people can use- sergers and regular sewing machines, slide/negative scanners, a 3-D printer, and a few other things I can't remember. There's no fee, you just have to check to make sure no one else is using it at the time.
