I got an email a bit ago that gave me a coupon code for a "free gift with purchase" that's good for about another week. I usually use their $5 code to offset shipping costs because I really hate that I pay $7 in postage and instead of priority shipping, I get a padded envie with $2 in postage. Obviously I can't use both codes at the same time. So my question--has anyone gotten the free gift code and used it, and was the item you got worth giving up the $5 discount? Thanks in advance.  |

My free gift was a cling stamp that I will never use. I'm pretty particular in what I like, though. IMO - Use your $5.00 off code.

Thank you both. I figured with my luck it'd be something like 1 poop-brown gelato or a foam roller brush, or a die to stamp I don't have, lol. That sounds like a step up, but I'd rather have my $5. |

Scrapbook.com was running a free gelato with purchase a while back, and I'd never bought any gelatos because I've got great watercolors, but I've seen them everywhere. I had a few things I wanted and thought cool, I can try playing with a gelato! So they showed this absolutely adorable card that used pink, turquoise and lime or yellow gelatos to make a watercolor style wash, and I was more excited over the gelato than the other things I actually bought. Then I got my package with a flier of the pretty card...and my poop brown gelato. The texture of the gelato didn't help improve my impression of the color.  |

One time I used a code like that for SSS and the free gift I got was a Memory Box catalog. Ummm...okay? I know they sell them but to me that's not really product, it's a marketing tool.

wendiffulLoL...thank you for that. I know the $5 coupon was the better choice, but I was still kind of wanting to use the free gift coupon in the back of my mind, and that helped keep me from being temped!

The worst thing is that now I have to tell my family what I'm laughing at. Actually, maybe that's not the worst thing. The worst thing may be that I now feel compelled to look and see if *I* am the prod owner of a poop-brown gelato. I have a set of the metallics, so chances are good that it's a metallic poop brown one... (Yes, I am a 5-year-old living in an adult body.) |
