My dad has planned a surprise party for my mom's birthday. He's not a party planning kind of guy so my sister and I have helped him along the way. The party is this evening and I've just discovered that drinks slipped through the cracks. I can go pick up some 2 liters but was really wanting to do a punch of some sort. The cake is chocolate with yellow and white icing and we are having vanilla ice cream. Any suggestions for a tried and true punch recipe I could do quickly? I'm looking online too but would love to use one that I know is good. Thanks!

I found one that has lemon sherbet in it. Would that go with Chocolate cake? I usually ask my mom these things!

At a former office, they always did Hawaiian Punch, 7-Up/Sprite & vanilla ice cream. It always seem to go nicely with whatever food & sweets was brought in as a covered dish and was always well-received.

Yes, the sherbet punch will be fine. Have a pitcher of water available also. Chill your 2L bottles if possible.

I like to add a can of the frozen concentrate of Bicardi Strawberry Daquari to any type of fruit punch or simply a can of frozen lime concentrate. The bit of lime adds a zest to any fruit punch without added sugary taste.

Juice, 7-up or sprite, and sherbet. Raspberries added in are nice. And you can add either a bottle of sparkling wine and/or regular white wine

Mix Minute maid fruit punch with sprite or 7 up and add a few spoonfuls of orange sherbet. So good. My kids call it special punch because we only make it for special occasion like holidays and birthdays.

My go to these days is always Shirley Temples. 7up and grenadine. Simple, easy, pretty, and everyone loves it.
