I found a lovely small to medium sized suitcase while junk-shopping today that I think might be perfect for carrying tools to a crop.
Would that be weird?

I love that idea! I have a small vintage suitcase that I use to hold small cardstock ephemera. I added extra pockets inside my suitcase so I could organize stuff better and not just have all the stuff thrown in there. I also use a vintage metal tackle box to hold some wood stamps. the blue metal was kind of rusty in spots so i decoupaged the outside in the Tim Holtz tissue paper. i love that little case too.

I have a vintage red suitcase that I use for altered art supplies. I love old useful containers! Enjoy!

I use my vintage case to hold my paper collections. Love. And no I don't think it is weird.

I have about 4 of them. 2 make up cases and 1 small and 1 medium. I use the make up suit case for my ink pads.

I have four pretend vintage suitcases (from Michaels) that hold many of my Big Shot items and other bulky tools. I don't take it to crops since I found an XL Navigator from HL for $35. I put that in a red wagon with some other storage and can take a ton of stuff in one load.

I have one small vintage suitcase I use for my beading tote. I took the mirror out of the lid and made an insert that holds my beading tools. The bottom holds lots of bead containers, etc. beading is much more portable than scrapping.

I think it's a great idea! I used to use a vintage picnic basket to take my things cropping.

I have an old one from my Grandmother, I could never alter it, but do I carry it with tools. Haven't started a board, but Googled Pinterst and got some cute eye candy:

I use one to put all my completed layouts in, I tend to place a bunch in different albums at one time. It looks great in the scrap area and holds my 12X12 pages perfectly. I think its a great idea.

I think it would be great as long as everything fit neatly inside. Go for it! I love funky vintage things. I snagged an old suitcase from my MIL's house when we were cleaning it out after she passed, I think it was DH's grandma's. It smelled really bad like cigarettes but I left it out in the garage for over a year with wadded up newsprint inside to absorb the smell. Before we moved, I took all of it out and it was a whole lot better. I'm not exactly sure what I will do with it, but I'm sure I'll think of something!
