Today, I'm making up for missing last week's child-free time because we spent the weekend addressing the third straight month of significant issues with my Honda. Unfortunately, I'm not making anything today, but my stamp reorganization project snowballed into the first bout of desire to work on getting more of my scrap room looking orderly, which is how I prefer it to look. Some areas haven't been moved since they were brought back into my office after the floors went in a year and a half ago...a lot of things were just throwing wherever they would fit and I neglected to return and more adequately utilize those spaces. I even did what I said I was considering doing after completing my Christmas in July project and relocated all of my 6x6 paper pads into a Raskog...the top shelf of that cart is all PL supplies that I reach for frequently. The bottom 2 are nothing but 6x6 paper pads and it is HEAVY! Moving them from my dresser means I could finally properly put away my most recent Thickers purchases (I'm talking bought between yesterday and over a year ago) and I was able to tuck in a few more random bits and pieces that had been floating around my office for months in another drawer, too.
My scrap room hasn't looked this nice in a while, especially the areas that I have been primarily focused on. My desk still needs some tending to (drop zone when moving stuff around in other areas of my room and I'm not 100% done with the stamp project, so that's still out on my desk as well) but I'm happy with what I've done so far. I don't know how much more I'll be getting done today, but even if I stopped now, I'm very pleased with my progress. If anyone is considering those cute little 94 or 96 cent file crates from Wal-Mart, I have to tell you that I love them. I might be buying a few more just to have handy. They stack nicely and are adorable!
Does anyone have any specific recommendations for which Fridge Binz container would work best for the extra large stamp pockets (the ones that hold 6x8 stamps)? While I don't know where it will go at this point, I definitely need one for my growing collection of larger stamps (and to store my Hero Arts kits so I can keep all of the pieces together).
I've been much more productive than I thought I would be...I've been binge watching NCIS: New Orleans for the past couple of weeks hoping to catch up before the 4th season's premier (at the rate I'm going, I'll probably be done by the end of August).

I made some cards on Friday night, which was really fun and relaxing. Then today after church and lunch I decided to clean my scraproom. It doubles as a spare room and we have friends coming to stay next weekend. I had a bunch of things just sitting out, and I needed to vacuum around the corners and edges, under my desk, etc. And I dusted and rearranged things a little. Organized my embossing folders, and I think I will make some dividers to separate them by theme since I have a lot of them now!
Then I went through my containers of small embellishments and reorganized them because they got a little mixed-up when my nieces were here last month. They like to craft! And then I went through the Simple Stories warehouse box I got a while ago and put things away in their proper places and took out the things I don't want to keep. I also put away the last couple of things I've bought. It looks pretty good in there now. I should be ready to start crafting again once my company leaves next Sunday.
I have a half-size binder and some magnetic vent covers coming from Amazon tomorrow, so that will enable me to get my dies organized, too, which badly needs to happen before something gets lost or bent. I'm looking forward to doing that.

I cropped Fri eve and Sat and put away the layouts I did. Today I am feeling rundown. Throat irritated and I kind of slept away the day. I have at least 4 sewing commissions I needed to start on and now that will have to be done all of next weekend.
Organization I have none and no recommendations. Someday, but probably not any year soon.

I put together a couple of pages today, and thanks to Chinagirl828's challenges, dug deep into my corner cupboard to rifle through my stash looking for specific elements, so my scraproom is now in an even BIGGER mess than it was before. But I am not ready to stop creating and start cleaning yet. And I found some cool elements buried back there: I think they need to see some use before I start packing things away again...

I went back to JoAnn's because the clerk forgot to put the Ranger spray bottle in my bag. I am trying to make swatch cards of the different oxide inks.

I worked on my PEI album, got 8 double page spreads done. This has been, by far the most fun I have had scrapping a single trip/ event. I am doing it 9x12 and I love that size. I think we all need to start bombarding album manufacturers to start making that size!

I finished the 2016 family album by finishing up the Christmas layouts and I've done a couple of June 2017 layouts. I also made eclipse shirts with DH and DD10 (well -they made them, I supervised and gave instructions)

My goal was to do eight pages. Instead I cut out 2 12 x 12 bubble overlays for one of the layouts. I can get them done this week.

I made several cards using my new magic colour slider dies and some other slider elements. I was hoping to get a couple of layouts done but didn't get round to them as I had to work part of Saturday.

No scrapping for me this weekend. I did pick up my craft room. DH has foot surgery this week, so I'll be off 12 days with him. I'll be able to craft some then.

Had plans to get a bit more done than I actually did, but I did finish June 2017 in my PL album. I have pics printed so I can start on July this week. I'd love to be working just a month behind.

I'm cleaning up my scrap/stamp space and putting things away. My table quickly becomes a catch-all since it's in the living room. I am going to start on Chrstmas cards in a couple weeks, and I like to start fresh.

I got 2 pages done on friday night and the rest of the weekend was spent journaling and finding dates for about 25 layouts. That took forever!! Learned my lesson, never gonna put a layout aside as done without doing those 2 very important things. Then I put away lefterovers from about 15 page kits and reorganized some of my paper. Cleared off my desk and then put about 40 layouts into the albums where they belong and labeled all of my albums. Now I'm all set to prepare for a retreat next month!!!

Christmas cards... seems kind of early but I was struggling for an idea and when I finally came up with a design I was happy with I jumped in with both feet and have been working on my assembly line approach to making my 50 odd Christmas cards!

I scrapped on Sunday. I am working on catching up on my sons' high school/college birthdays. I am loving Simple Stories Let's Party and I am working my way through the free sketches that were in Scrapbook Generations' CREATE magazine. It's been fun. This is my 3rd birthday layout and it's almost done.

Back dating layouts can be the worst! That's all super productive work, but somehow to me it always feel like I don't have anything to show for work like that. I hope you enjoyed your progress!! I so need to label my albums. It's been on my TO DO list for about 6 years.

I'm looking forward to doing that. Is that a 6x8 binder or one of those office binders that are slightly smaller? Can you post a link for the vent covers? I don't have too many dies (but want to buy more from aliexpress!) and need a better system.

Sure, here's what I bought...NOTE, I haven't tried it out yet! 5.5x8.5 Avery BinderDeflecto Magnetic Vent Cover 8x15I already have page protectors, so didn't need to buy those. My idea is to cut the vent covers into 8x5" sheets, should be able to get three from a vent and nine from the three-pack. I don't have a lot of dies, so I'm hoping this will be close to enough. At least I can see if they work before investing in more, anyway.

I finally did a layout - first time in over six months! I really enjoyed working on this one. My daughter is a hairdresser and once a year the company she works for has a contest. This year a coworker made her up like a mermaid. Just the inspiration I needed to get going, again:)

This weekend was a bit of a bust creatively - there was a big Pacific Islands Festival here on Saturday (had to go get some malasadas and poke) and I had to go to my MIL's for a loooong lunch on Sunday. But I really wanted to do something a little creative, so after we got back from MIL's I pulled out the Shimelle Starshine 12x12 papers I was going to donate and cut them down to 8x8" and made them into fancy envelopes. I haven't tried that before, so it was a bit of a learning experience, but it was cool. And now the scraps are good sizes to actually get used for cards - not so overwhelming as a 12" sheet. I watched a YouTube video about doing a similar project to sell at craft fairs and decided it would be a fun idea to try -although not for craft fairs. Now I want one of those envelope punch boards.

I did 10 two-page layouts this past Saturday/Sunday. I had a goal to see if I could push that many out, and I prepped for it - and very nearly did it! 8 two-pagers finished, and 2 two-pagers that I finished Monday night.

Over the weekend I scrapped one layout and did some journaling and dates on a few others. I'm hoping to cut a few titles on my Silhouette today.
