it's the one adjacent to the toe i broke in march
and i've been stubbing my toes quiet often
i'm starting to wonder if i'm shuffling my feet or having an issue with proximity
i regularly turn corners too tight and bruise my legs on the coffee/end tables
or smack the doorway
enough that it has me curious
has anyone else dealt with this
maybe i just don't realize my actual size and i'm running around like a skinny girl!

I'm sorry that you have a broken toe. Youch. It might be a good idea to consult a podiatrist and see if there's an issue that could be causing the problems, like over pronation, etc.

I think if this "clumsiness" is recent and frequent, it might be a good idea to talk to your doctor. While it's most likely from not paying attention to what you are doing, it might also be a sign of a vision or neurological issue.
I hope you toe heals quickly.

menopause (has a HUGE host of symptoms / issues that I NEVER knew about), distracted walking, possible issues with your vision / depth perception / peripheral vision? absent-minded, rushing / running late, etc.?? Any of those things ring a bell?
there's a lot of different factors that could be affecting it...
eta: and I'm sorry you broke your toe- again! that sucks! (I run into stuff and bruise myself a LOT... I seem to be getting clumsier with old age / menopause, too.)

Ouch!
I stubbed my big toe last summer and it hurt. In January the toenail fell off. I was so surprised, I had no idea it was going to fall off. It's slowly growing back...

Ouch!
I went through a phase like that a couple of years ago. I slipped while mopping my bathroom, and broke two toes. A couple of months later, I slammed those same toes into a chair. It took about a year, but I eventually lost both toenails.
I'm sorry you keep getting hurt. I think the questions you asked are valid, though, and hope you get some answers.

I can relate. Nothing new here, I've always been one to run into things... I almost ripped the nail off of my baby toe a month or so ago by getting it jammed under the door as I was heading into the house from the garage... it fell off about 5 days later, with the thinnest new toenail underneath.
Sorry you're hurting, Gina! And thanks for the reminder for me to slow down a bit. (I have lots of bruises from running into corners of things too!)

I hope it heals quickly and without too much pain. I'm in a walking shoe right now because I broke the same toe twice and it caused me so much pain and wasn't healing even 2 weeks after the second break. When I went in for X-rays last week - 2 weeks after wearing shoe - the orthopedist told me another 4 weeks in the shoe. Getting older sucks. And now they ask me every time I go in if I've had a fall. I'm only 54!

I am generally a klutz, but things got much worse before I had my cataract surgery. I didn't realize how much my vision was impacted.
